Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, but this 19th-century apartment on Calle San Luis honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes you book something online and cross your fingers? Well, this was one of those pleasant shocks where reality actually exceeds the photos.
The building itself has that worn-in elegance you only get with centuries of stories – I mean, the marble stairs are literally polished smooth from all the footsteps. Apartment 5 sits on what I’d call the perfect floor – high enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the street (and trust me, Sevillanos love to chat), but not so high that you’re huffing up four flights with your luggage. The apartment keeps all those gorgeous original details – soaring ceilings with exposed beams, thick walls that actually keep the summer heat at bay, and these massive wooden shutters that block out the light completely when you need to sleep off a late night in Triana. What really got me though was how they’ve updated everything that matters without ruining the character. The kitchen actually works (shocking, I know, for a historic rental), and the bathroom has proper water pressure – something you definitely can’t take for granted in the old quarter.
Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot of Seville’s old town. Calle San Luis puts you close enough to the Cathedral that you can wander over for evening photos without the daytime crowds, but you’re not dealing with tour groups under your windows at 8 AM. The little grocery store on the corner – honestly, the owner there saved my life when I needed basics on a Sunday. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk to Plaza de Armas if you need the bus to the airport, and the Alameda is right there when you want that perfect neighborhood bar scene that tourists usually miss. I actually found myself using this place as a real base, not just somewhere to crash. The dining table by the window became my morning coffee spot, and those thick walls meant I could come back for afternoon siestas without feeling like I was missing out – because honestly, you need those breaks in Seville’s heat. The only tiny thing I’d mention is that the building’s entrance can be a bit tricky to spot at night (it’s number 32, but the numbers aren’t huge), and like most old Seville buildings, there’s no elevator. But really, those are minor details when you’re staying somewhere that feels this authentic and comfortable.

The apartment and the building are beautiful and very comfortable. Everything was better than in the photos. The location is in a great neighborhood and it is away from the tourist area, but close enough that you can quickly and easily walk to all the sites. Parking in a secure lot across the street was very convenient.
What could be improved: I can’t think of anything.Richard from United Kingdom – 3 December 2024 (8/10)
Wonderful Sivillian style apartment in an excellent location within walking distance of everything the old town has to offer.
What could be improved: Nothing.Carolyn from Portugal – 22 November 2024 (8/10)
Beautiful property in the traditional Sevillian style but decorated in modern fashion. Excellent facilities, everything you need for a quality stay. Very comfortable. The extra bathroom and the parking garage right across the street are a plus. Excellent, responsive host.
What could be improved: The shower knobs are a bit strange, and like most stall showers, water does leak out.Carolyn from Portugal – 8 November 2024 (8/10)
Beautiful traditional Sevilhan apartment. Nicely laid out and decorated. High quality furnishings. Good location. Excellent clear check-in instructions. Very friendly owner.
What could be improved: Only disturbance from construction works next door but only during the day.Marijke from Netherlands – 1 November 2024 (9/10)
Location within walking distance (20 min) of several highlights. Mattress was comfortable. Nice that you can wash your clothes if you like/need. We also liked the possibility to park our car near by.
What could be improved: Across the street there is a sports centre, in the evening you hear the arobics classes. Furthermore i think the refrigerator and microwave could use some extra cleaning attention.Sally from New Zealand – 3 October 2024 (9/10)
Charming apartment with lovely decor and architectural details set in a beautiful old building. Fantastic location within walking distance of many key attractions, close to restaurants, supermarkets etc. Our host was very helpful and responsive and the parking was very convenient.

Perfect place to stay while discovering Seville. It is in the city centre, with most of the tourist spots just a short walk away. Palacio de las duenas and Setas de Seville werr literally 7 mins away!
The apartment was in a typical sevillian building which we loved! Felt like in a movie. We had the whole apartment to us which is amazing for the price! A very clean and neat apartment with all the necessities. Definitely go for it if you are visiting Seville.
What could be improved: No faults at allAnne from United Kingdom – 26 May 2024 (8/10)
