You know what caught me off guard about the AC Hotel Sevilla Fórum? It’s actually one of those places that gets better the longer you stay. I mean, first glance from Luis Fuentes Bejarano street and you’re thinking “okay, modern business hotel” – but honestly, there’s more personality here than you’d expect from a Marriott property.

The location is sort of perfect if you know Seville well. You’re in the Este district, which locals will tell you is where the city actually lives and breathes, not just performs for tourists. There’s this great little tapas bar called El Rinconcillo about a ten-minute walk away (locals go there, not just guidebook followers), and you can easily hop on the metro at Nervión station to get into the historic center when you want that postcard Seville experience. But here’s the thing – after spending your day dodging tour groups around the Cathedral, coming back to this quieter part of town feels like exhaling. The neighborhood has actual grocery stores and cafés where people read newspapers, you know?

The hotel itself has that clean, minimalist AC Hotels vibe – lots of white and natural wood, which I actually appreciate after spending time in some of the more ornate places in the old town. The rooms are what you’d call thoughtfully simple, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in amazing light (though fair warning, request a higher floor if you’re sensitive to street noise – Luis Fuentes Bejarano gets busy during rush hour). Their breakfast spread is honestly pretty solid – they do this Spanish tortilla that’s properly custardy in the center, and the coffee is strong enough to fuel your walking around all day. The staff at the front desk speaks excellent English, but they’re also patient if you want to practice your Spanish, which I always appreciate.

What really won me over was the rooftop area – not fancy, just tables and chairs, but you get these unexpected views of the city that travel photos never show you. It’s where I ended up most evenings with a beer from the lobby bar, watching the sun set over a Seville that isn’t trying to impress anyone. The pool up there is small but functional, and during the brutal July heat (I mean, brutal), it’s exactly what you need. Parking is available in their garage, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car through Seville’s old town, you’ll understand is basically priceless. Check-in was smooth, though like most Spanish hotels, don’t expect your room to be ready much before 3 PM – but that just gives you an excuse to find a nice plaza for lunch and ease into the rhythm of the place. It’s not the most Instagram-worthy hotel you’ll ever stay in, but it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re actually visiting Seville, not just passing through it.

  Very convenient for the airport, nice outdoor pool, very comfortable bedroom and super large bath. Staff were friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: There was a large group staying at the hotel so breakfast was a bit of a ‘bun-fight’ with too few staff to keep up with replacing coffee etc and hot food.

  Hotel is very modern. We were able to catch bus 28 which was about a 10 minutes walk to get downtown. It took about 35 minutes and cost 2.8 euros instead of a 20-35 euro uber ride internet speed was excellent. Quiet and easy to rest.

  Nice place. Had everything I needed. Only problem was my room being too close to the roadway and the cars at night were too loud.
  They have parking with charging for electric cars.
  The gym was nice, sad that I went too late and the sauna closes at 11pm so I couldn’t use it.

  We stayed here the last night of our trip. It was close to the airport and they called a taxi for us to get to our earthly morning flight. They also let us check in early which was very nice.

  Very clean, and comfortable room with an excellent relaxing bathtub. We absolutely loved the varied and satisfying breakfast. The location is very close to the airport.
  
  What could be improved: The air conditioning was not as cold as we would have liked even though we turned up the fan and lowered the temperature on the thermostat.
