Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about the Alameda Duplex? It’s actually tucked away on this narrow little street – Calle Torres – that most tourists probably walk right past without noticing. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s old quarter here, but somehow it feels like you’ve found this quiet pocket that the cruise ship crowds haven’t discovered yet.

The duplex setup is honestly pretty clever. You get this sense of having your own little apartment rather than just another hotel room, which makes a huge difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The stairs between levels are a bit narrow (fair warning if you’re hauling heavy luggage), but there’s something charming about having that separation – you can spread out your stuff downstairs and keep the bedroom area upstairs feeling peaceful. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but everything works well and the finishes are solid. Actually, the bathroom situation is way better than what you’ll find in most old town places – decent water pressure and modern fixtures, which… trust me, that’s not always a given in this part of Seville.

What really makes this place work is the location knowledge you’ll develop. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (though honestly, you’ll hear the bells, so you’ll always know what time it is), but you’re on the quiet side of things. The little plaza at the end of Torres connects you to about five different walking routes – you can hit the river, cut over toward Santa Cruz, or wander into the shopping streets without any of those touristy bottlenecks. There’s this tiny café called Bar Manolo about two blocks away that does incredible tostadas in the morning; the guy who runs it has been there forever and he’ll remember your order after like two visits. Oh, and parking – well, forget about street parking obviously, but there’s a decent garage about six blocks away if you’re driving. Most people just walk everywhere from here anyway.

The 8.9 rating makes sense when you factor in that you’re getting genuine old town living without the tourist trap pricing or the sketchy late-night noise you get closer to the main drags. Yeah, you’ll hear some street sounds – people walking home from dinner, the occasional delivery truck in the morning – but it’s more like pleasant urban background noise rather than anything disruptive. Check-in was pretty straightforward when I stayed; they actually met me at the property rather than making me hunt down some random office across town, which I appreciated after a long travel day.

  • Jordan from United Kingdom – 6 June 2025 (9/10)

Great hosts, great location, perfect for what we wanted, everything was clean, even left us a bottle of red wine 10/10

  • Brodie from Canada – 24 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location with a beautiful courtyard. Very easy to find and the host was responsive who left us with great recommendations. Quick walk to some of the major tourist attractions

What could be improved: Only this was the Queen bed was uncomfortable. All other beds were great. Did not test out the bunk beds so have no comment on them.
Recommend having the shutters on the windows open as living room is dark when they’re closed.

  • Mandi from United Kingdom – 10 April 2025 (9/10)

Great amount of space, loads of places to eat and get grocery’s nearby. It was perfectly clean and we were able to drop our luggage in the morning. It was easy to walk everywhere. All the mattresses and pillows and travel cot all looked new and in perfect condition and the beds were soooo comfy. Lovely little courtyard out the front. Felt nice and quiet yet easy to walk into the hustle and bustle.

What could be improved: The bunk bed room is quite small but we didn’t need to use it anyway.

  • Anonymous from Australia – 11 June 2025 (8/10)

    Spacious, good location, comfortable

What could be improved: Was quite dark inside, could not open the windows downstairs or upstairs in bedroom to let natural light in.

  • Luis from Ecuador – 29 May 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Todo muy bien. Solo tener en consideración – aunque está súper claro en la descripción – que hay solo dos baños y la mayoría de camas quedan arriba (hay que subir escaleras).

  • Ana from Spain – 13 May 2025 (9/10)

    Todo

  • Tibor from Hungary – 6 March 2025 (9/10)

A szállás jól felszerelt, a tisztaság tökéletes. Az ágyak kényelmesek és a társasház nagyon barátságos. A város minden nevezetessége könnyen megközelíthető akár gyalogosan, akár tömegközlekedéssel.

What could be improved: Sajnos kevés a természetes fény a nappali étkezőben, de az emeleti szobáknál ez nem gond.
