Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and this one actually surprised me. The Alfalfa City Center Sky View sits right on Calle Cabeza del Rey Don Pedro – honestly, what a name for a street – but you know what? That ridiculous address puts you smack in the heart of everything that matters in the old town. I mean, you walk out the door and you’re practically breathing down the neck of the Cathedral. The whole Barrio de Santa Cruz spreads out around you like some kind of medieval maze, except now it’s full of tapas bars and tourists trying to figure out Google Maps.

The thing about this place is it gets the balance right between feeling properly Sevillian and actually working for modern travelers. The building itself has that weathered stone look that screams “I’ve been here since before your great-grandmother was born,” but inside they’ve done something clever with the rooms – they’re clean and comfortable without feeling like a generic chain hotel. And honestly, the sky view part of the name isn’t just marketing nonsense. From the upper floors, you actually get these glimpses of the city’s rooftops and church towers that make you want to grab your camera at sunset. The rooms aren’t huge (this is a medieval city center, after all), but they’re thoughtfully laid out, and the air conditioning works – which, trust me, matters a lot when you’re dealing with Andalusian summers.

What really sold me on this place though was how it handles the whole “staying in the historic center” thing. You’re close enough to wander over to Plaza del Salvador for morning coffee, or duck into any of the tiny bars around Plaza Alfalfa when you want something stronger, but the hotel itself sits on a quieter stretch. I was worried about noise – you know how these old quarter hotels can be – but the street isn’t one of the main party drags, so you can actually sleep. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out too; they pointed me toward this little family-run restaurant on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, none of that “your room isn’t ready until exactly 3 PM” rigidity you get at bigger places. And parking – well, forget about parking anywhere near here, but they’ll tell you exactly where to find the closest garage and how much it’ll cost you. It’s just honest, practical advice from people who deal with this stuff every day. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you’ve been there; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but it nails what most travelers actually want: a comfortable base in an unbeatable location where the people running it clearly give a damn.

  Excellent location, nice and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. Lots of stairs so maybe not suitable for everyone but it was perfect for our group.

  The location was perfect. Lovely balcony, clean, comfortable beds
  
  What could be improved: No mention of the 41 stairs to the apartment and no lift. Plus no mention that there was 2 flights of stairs aswell inside the apartment. This should be advertised as someone with mobility issues wouldn’t be able to access easily. Also states the “stand out” feature of apartment is a hot tub, we took swimwear, excited for this just to find it was just a bath in the bathroom with jets, very misleading

  The property is central, accessible to all tourist attractions by foot. The accommodation is modern, spacious, airy and has 2 separate outstanding seating areas.
  The management team were easy to contact and extremely helpful.

  Nice little apartment, close to the city center, about a 10 minutes walk, depending on where you want to go. It has 2 little patios if you walk up steps.
  
  What could be improved: It is not suitable for people with limited mobility because you have to climb up a lot of steps in a narrow staircase. One bedroom doesn’t have the bathroom on the same floor so you have to climb down steps to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

  An absolutely amazing apartment located in the Alfalfa neighbourhood with breathtaking views from both of the two roof terraces!
  Clean and tidy.
  Plenty of space throughout the property.
  Well furnished and high quality interiors.
  
  What could be improved: The air conditioning unit in the living room of the property could be upgraded or expanded to cope better with extreme weather during the summer months where temperatures outside can be anywhere in the 40°c to 54°c range.
  
  It's worth noting that we didn't raise this with our host during our stay as we considered it to be a longer term improvement rather than a short term issue.
  
  (The air conditioning units in the bedrooms coped very well with the extreme temperatures throughout our stay)
