Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Alkazar Gardens, I wasn’t expecting much from the somewhat narrow entrance on Calle San Bernardo. But honestly? This place completely caught me off guard. The apartment (and yeah, it’s more of a proper apartment than your typical hotel room) sits in this surprisingly quiet corner of Nervión, which most tourists completely miss because they’re all fighting for spots in Santa Cruz. Your loss, really.

What actually makes this place work is how it feels like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed Sevillian home rather than some sterile hotel box. The space genuinely sleeps six people comfortably – I mean, I’ve been in “6-person” places where you’re practically sleeping on top of each other, but here you’ve got actual breathing room. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters when you realize that eating out for every meal in Seville will absolutely destroy your budget. Plus, there’s something really nice about making coffee in the morning and sitting by the windows while the neighborhood slowly wakes up around you. You can hear the church bells from San Bernardo – not overwhelming, just… present, you know?

The location is honestly perfect if you actually want to experience Seville like someone who lives here. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the cathedral and all that tourist chaos, but close enough to Plaza de Armas that getting around is never a hassle. And here’s something the guidebooks won’t tell you – there’s this little café called Bar Manolo just around the corner that serves the kind of tortilla española that makes you understand why Spanish people are so particular about their eggs. The metro stop is right there too, which saved my life when I needed to get to the airport early one morning. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Seville), but the hosts actually give you decent advice about where to find spots, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t need your car much anyway. The whole experience feels refreshingly unpolished in the best way – like you’re getting insider access to how this city actually works, rather than being shuffled through some tourism machine.

  Facilities at the apartment were good. Checking in was the problem. I responded to Maria's email the day before our arrival about our arrival time. I asked about the check in process. She did not respond. When I rang her she said "Oh, I just read your email." We had difficulty finding the keys because of her poor English, however eventually worked it out.
  
  What could be improved: No toaster, just a microwave with a browning element. It took 15 minutes to toast the bread. No written sheet with instructions about the wifi. When I rang she said they were under the router. We turned the router upside down and on the bottom were some details. Clave means password in Spanish, apparently.

  Bedrooms and beds were very comfortable, had a washing machine and drying rack available which was helpful for a family, we had street parking available and avoided the private car parking charge.
  
  What could be improved: The flat is based on the ground flour with all windows being gated, which is good for security but we have had quite a few mosquitos come in on the ground floor during night time with the weather being so hot.

  Spacious apartment with great beds & pillows and 2 bathrooms. Even bed in the living room was very cosy. Extra linens and towels available. Kitchen is well equipped. Also, apartment is on great location (10 min away from main sights).

  The apartment itself was a gem, elegantly designed and filled with charm. Waking up to the views of Seville's picturesque streets was a daily delight. The host's attention to detail was impressive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Hosts let us checkout even later, since we had another accomondation in Marbella later that day.

  Great apartament,very nicely decorated and fully equiped. Within 5 mins walking to bars and restaurants and 10 mins to centre. Very quiet street. The host Maria was very nice and helpful.

  What could be improved: Host did not come to greet us. Key did not work as it was bent , therefore had to wake another resident at midnight to let us in. Wifi did not work, had to wait for host to supply password. Sheets on lounge bed were not clean.

  Era amplio, cómodo, tal y como se aprecia en las fotos, limpio y cuidado.
  
  What could be improved: Nos quedamos sin papel higiénico, ya que era un alojamiento para 6 personas y tan solo teníamos 2 rollos para un fin de semana, los cuales se gastaron en nada. Por lo demás, todo perfecto.

  Quartiere tranquillo subito fuori dal centro, a una decina di minuti a piedi dalle attrazioni principali, e molto comodo per l'autobus diretto all'aeroporto.
  L'appartamento è ben arredato, ha due bagni comodi (con il bidet!)
