You know what struck me first about Almirante Hoyos House? It’s tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street that most tourists walk right past – which is honestly perfect because you get all the charm of Seville’s old quarter without the constant foot traffic. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of everything historic, but the street itself stays surprisingly quiet, especially in the evenings when you can actually hear the fountain trickling in the nearby Plaza de San Francisco. The building itself has that authentic Andalusian feel – none of that fake rustic stuff you see in some places – with original tiles and thick walls that actually keep the summer heat out (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July).
The private terrace is what really sets this place apart though. Most accommodations in the old town either face narrow alleys or busy streets, but here you’ve got your own outdoor space where you can have morning coffee without sharing it with a dozen other guests. I spent way more time up there than I expected, especially around sunset when you can see the cathedral’s Giralda tower peeking over the rooftops. The hosts clearly know what they’re doing – everything from check-in to little touches like having decent coffee (not that instant stuff) shows they actually care about the experience. The whole setup feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical rental, if that makes sense.
What I really loved is how walkable everything is from here – you can stumble to the cathedral in about eight minutes, hit the tapas bars on Calle Mateos Gago without planning ahead, and when you need groceries or pharmacy stuff, there’s a little Día market just a couple blocks down Calle Sierpes. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about street parking, but there’s a decent underground garage about a ten-minute walk away on Calle Cuna if you’re driving. The 9.1 rating actually feels right – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but everything works well and the location is honestly hard to beat. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since the terrace means you don’t feel cramped even when the streets get crowded with tour groups during the day.

Perfect location. The property is a traditional town house, beautiful, lots of stairs. There is a lift but not allowed for visitor use. Bedroom one is ground floor, one on the first floor with kitchen and lounge, two bedrooms on the second floor and outside terrace on the third floor. Great place to stay. Tiny road, better not to have a car!!

Perfect location on a quiet street right in the old town. The house itself is charming with a few quirks but overall very comfortable. We slept well and the beds and comforters were very cozy for our January visit. The water pressure in the bathrooms was very good, and there was plenty of space for all 7 of us, spread over 3 floors and 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms.
What could be improved: The house felt a bit damp and chilly at first, but there are heating/cooling units in each room which worked well. There isn't much natural light, and the indoor lighting is rather harsh, but it's not a big problem since we didn't spend much time in the house. There are 4 floors total, so a lot of stairs. The kitchen seemed functional but very basic. I had an exceptional experience staying at this apartment in the city centre. The location couldn't have been better, with easy access to everything the city has to offer. The apartment was spotless and tastefully furnished, making it a comfortable and inviting place to stay.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The check-in process was a breeze, making arrival stress-free and seamless. All amenities were readily available, and I particularly enjoyed the access to the beautiful rooftop area.

Perfect for what we needed with the amount of people we had. Setting was perfect for us to get around and see Sevilla.
