Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and Alohamundi Adriano honestly surprised me. You walk down Calle Adriano – which, by the way, is this narrow cobblestone street that feels like it hasn’t changed since the 16th century – and you almost miss the entrance. It’s tucked between these old buildings with wrought iron balconies, and there’s something really charming about how it doesn’t scream “tourist hotel” from the outside.

The thing about this place is that it gets the Old Town location exactly right. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Cathedral and the Alcázar, but you’re not on one of those crazy busy streets where tour groups march past at 7 AM. Calle Adriano has this quiet residential feel, especially in the evenings when locals are coming home from work and you can hear conversations drifting from the apartments above. The rooms actually face inward mostly, so you don’t get the street noise – which, trust me, matters when you’re trying to sleep off all that tapas and Cruzcampo from the night before.

What really won me over was the attention to detail that you don’t expect from a four-star place. The lobby has these beautiful tiles that look original, and the staff – well, they actually seem to care about what you’re planning to do in the city. The woman at reception told me about this tiny tapas bar on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Seville. The rooms themselves are… look, they’re not huge, but they’re thoughtfully designed. Good AC (crucial in summer), decent WiFi, and the bathrooms are modern without feeling sterile. You know what I appreciated? The blackout curtains actually work, which sounds small but matters when you’re jet-lagged and the Andalusian sun is blazing at 6:30 AM.

Honestly, the 8.2 rating makes sense to me. It’s not perfect – the elevator is tiny and there’s no pool, which some people care about – but it nails what most travelers actually want. You can walk to Santa Cruz in five minutes, the Metropol Parasol is right there if you want those panoramic views, and there are three excellent coffee shops within a block (the one on the corner makes incredible tostada con tomate). Parking is… well, it’s the Old Town, so forget about driving here. But the nearest metro stop is Plaza de Armas, maybe a 10-minute walk, and taxis know exactly where Calle Adriano is.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel like I was actually in Seville rather than some international hotel bubble. It’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable and well-located without being touristy or overpriced for what you get.

  Great location! So close to city center, delicious tapas bars and tourist attractions. Very clean and well equipped apartment. We will definitely reconsider to stay if we come to Seville again.

  What could be improved: The bathroom could have improved. No hooks or racks to keep toileties. Water spreads all over during taking a shower. Hosts were asked to give extra towels and toilet paper, but they were never delivered.

  The wardrobe and drawers couldn't be open properly as the small double bed is too close.

  At least a bottle of water would have been much appreciated on arrival.

  Location of the apartment is excellent, you’re within walkind distance from everything you need to see near the old town. Apartment was very clean, check-in swift and the staff was very friendly. A great choice for a city break, we will definitely come back.
