You know what struck me first about Alohamundi Arfe? The name honestly sounds like someone mashed together “Aloha” and “Sevilla” after a few too many drinks, but don’t let that throw you off – this place actually gets it right where it counts. Tucked away on Calle Francisco López Bordas, you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s old town, and I mean the real deal, not some touristy knockoff version.

The thing about staying here is you’re close enough to hear the cathedral bells (which, fair warning, start going off pretty early), but far enough from the main drag that you won’t have drunk British tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. The staff clearly knows their stuff – they had recommendations for tapas places that weren’t listed in my guidebook, and honestly, those ended up being some of the best meals I had. The rooms themselves are solid four-star territory, nothing that’ll blow your mind but everything works properly, the AC actually cools things down (crucial during Seville summers, trust me), and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a brick. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the Andalusian decor thing – you get hints of local style without feeling like you’re sleeping in a flamenco museum.

What really sold me on this place was how it felt like a proper base for exploring, not just somewhere to crash. You can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing – the Alcázar is maybe ten minutes if you’re moving slowly and stopping to take photos, the Cathedral’s even closer, and you’re right there for wandering the narrow streets of Santa Cruz without having to navigate back to some hotel stuck out in the modern part of town. The breakfast was better than I expected (actual jamón ibérico, not the sad processed stuff), and they don’t rush you out if you want to linger over coffee while planning your day. Parking’s a bit of a challenge, but honestly, that’s true anywhere in old Seville – they’ll point you toward a garage that’s reasonable by Spanish standards. That 8.4 rating feels about right to me; it’s not going to revolutionize your travel experience, but it does everything a good hotel should do without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Seville rather than just Instagram it, this works.

  Host kindly let us check in early to the accommodation.
  Accommodation clean and had all we needed. Good that it had two toilet/showers.
  Location good for walking to attractions. Good base for going back to in between sights.
  
  What could be improved: Downside was that good location meant right accommodation was next to several bars which played music etc until 3 am on the Friday and Saturday. Although alll bedrooms could hear this, the one facing the street suffered most.
  Good idea to bring/use earplugs.

  Location is amazing. The appartment has everything you would need. Very easy check in process.
  
  What could be improved: The noise level is enormous. The bars beneath the appartment work until late in the night and there are lots of people in the street. The sofa bed that retracts (there were 8 of us so one couple had to sleep on it) is not very comfortable.

  Good location, very central. Light and well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: Mind that there is no elevator. One of the bathrooms had tricky lock, we locked the doors from outside by accident.

  Es un departamento muy amplio en el centro de Sevilla luminoso y cómodo.
  
  What could be improved: Que no tuviera horno convencional, pese a ofrecerlo en la página de Booking y solo un microondas de poca capacidad, lo que dificulta cocinar para cuatro. Tampoco me gustó que el tender para ropa, estuviese colgado sobre un patio interno al que no llega la luz del sol, por lo que la ropa no llega a secarse.

  Appartamento comodo, due bagni fanno la differenza quando è un gruppo grande, ubicazione eccellente in pieno centro vicino a tutte le attrazioni turistiche ed alla movida spagnola.
  
  What could be improved: l'unica recensione negativa è che un'abitazione che da verso la strada principale è troppo rumorosa, noi eravamo un gruppo grande che volevamo divertirci per cui arrivavamo verso l'una e quasi tutti i locale chiudevano o stavano chiudendo, tranne quello sotto del nostro palazzo che continuavano fino a tardi perché oltre ad essere un bar era anche una piccola discoteca
