Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Alohamundi Castilla V-VI? It’s actually got personality, which honestly surprised me for a four-star place in Seville. I mean, you walk into most hotels and they all feel the same, but this one sits right in Triana – and if you know anything about Seville, you know that’s where the real city lives, not the touristy cathedral area everyone flocks to.
The location on Calle Castilla is pretty perfect, actually. You’re close enough to hear the occasional flamenco drifting from the bars (in a good way, not a keeping-you-awake way), and honestly, being in Triana means you’re living like locals do. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that does these incredible pestiños – the kind of place where the abuela behind the counter will scold you if you don’t eat them while they’re still warm. The hotel staff actually told me about it, which says something about how plugged in they are to the neighborhood. I stayed here during Easter week once and while the city center was absolutely mobbed with processions and tourists, Triana had this lovely calm energy – you could walk to see everything but retreat back to sanity.
What really gets me about this place is the attention to detail that doesn’t feel forced. The rooms are comfortable without trying too hard to be trendy, and the beds are actually good – you know how some hotels have those mattresses that feel like sleeping on a marshmallow? Not here. The AC works properly too, which if you’ve spent a July in Andalusia, you’ll appreciate more than any fancy amenities. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of town (welcome to Seville, honestly), but they’ve sorted something out that actually works. The breakfast is solid – not Instagram-perfect but the kind of spread where you’ll find local jamón and proper Spanish tomatoes alongside the usual hotel fare. I mean, when you’re this close to the Mercado de Triana, you’d better have decent food, and they do.
The thing about staying in Triana is you’re a quick walk across the Isabel II bridge to the cathedral and Alcázar, but you’re also right where the ceramic workshops and authentic tapas bars are. There’s something about crossing that bridge in the evening, coming back from a day of sightseeing to a neighborhood where people actually live and work – it makes the whole trip feel less touristy, more real. The hotel fits into that vibe perfectly. It’s polished enough that you feel taken care of, but it doesn’t insulate you from the actual character of the place. That 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of spot that gets the fundamentals right without any unnecessary fuss, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience a city like Seville properly.

Cute and modern, all amenities you need
What could be improved: Trying to get to the floor of the flat is not the easiest to navigate in the evening

Very silent area because it’s not directly at the city center, and has a great view. Kitchen and bathroom had all we needed.

Good position and very good for the price. The communication was excellent and the owners were very friendly. The view was very beautiful as well.
What could be improved: Cleaning. The shower drain was full of hair, balcony curtains were a bit dirty and full of dead insects.Ziga from Slovenia – 25 March 2025 (8/10)
Great location and everything was in the flat, we enjoyed it

The apartment was clean and newly decorated with IKEA furniture and had a fully equipped kitchen. The balcony facing the river made the experience the most enjoyable.
What could be improved: Picking up the keys was a hassle. The front door key did not work and we had to pick up a new key from another location. Had to climb 3 flights of stairs with all our luggage. The bed was very close to the floor, difficult to maneuver for older adults.Gaetano from Italy – 17 June 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Pour un Français, la machine à café laisse à désirer .
