Alohamundi Cetina&Duque Montemar Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Seville, and Alohamundi Cetina&Duque Montemar honestly surprised me in the best way. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – I mean, it sounds like they couldn’t decide between two different hotels and just smooshed them together – but once you’re actually there, none of that matters. It’s tucked right into the old town on Calle Cetina, which is one of those narrow cobblestone streets that feels like you’ve stepped back about 400 years. You know what I love about this spot? You’re literally walking distance from the Cathedral and Alcázar, but you’re not dealing with the tourist circus that happens right on the main squares. At night, when the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships, you get this amazing quiet that settles over the neighborhood.
The hotel itself has that authentic Sevillian feel – thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer), and these gorgeous interior courtyards that remind you why Andalusian architecture is so brilliant. The staff actually knows the city, which sounds basic but you’d be shocked how rare that is. They’ll tell you which tapas bars the locals hit up on Calle Mateos Gago, or that the best time to visit the Alcázar is right when it opens at 9:30 because tour groups don’t usually roll in until 10:30. The rooms are solid – nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable with decent air conditioning that actually works. I stayed in July (probably a mistake, but whatever) and slept perfectly fine. The bathrooms are modern enough, though the shower pressure could be better – but honestly, that’s pretty standard for old buildings in this part of the city.
What really sold me on this place was the breakfast situation. They don’t do some massive buffet spread, but what they serve is actually good – proper Spanish tortilla, decent coffee, fresh bread. You can eat in their little courtyard area, and there’s something really peaceful about starting your day there before the city wakes up. The Wi-Fi works well, which matters if you’re trying to book flamenco shows or check museum hours. Parking can be tricky in the old town – I’d suggest asking them about nearby garages when you book, because driving these narrow streets with a rental car is… well, let’s just say it’s an adventure. The hotel’s got a 9 out of 10 rating for good reason – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but it nails the basics while giving you that authentic neighborhood feel. Plus, you’re a five-minute walk from some of the best churros con chocolate in the city at Bar El Comercio. Just saying.

Clean, modern, comfortable and quiet.

Great location in a quiet and very friendly neighborhood. The apartement is nicely decorated in a modern style, the beds are confortable and the two bathrooms are a plus when traveling with a family of 5! Kitchen is also well equipped (although a few more breakfast cups would be a "nice to have"). The communication was fast and efficient and we really enjoyed our stay!

The property was a little way out from the centre of the tourist attractions but this meant we experienced the authentic Spanish city, some great bars near the apartment and easy to walk into the centre.
