You know what caught me off guard about Alohamundi F&G? The name honestly sounds like some sort of corporate code, but the second you walk through those doors on Calle Fernández y González, you realize you’ve stumbled into something pretty special. I mean, this street is right in the thick of Seville’s tapas heartland – you’re literally surrounded by some of the city’s best hole-in-the-wall bars, and the hotel somehow manages to feel like a calm refuge despite being in the middle of all that delicious chaos.

The building itself has that classic Sevillian charm (you’ll see what I mean when you spot the traditional tiles in the lobby), but they’ve updated everything without going overboard with the renovation. The rooms are actually quiet, which honestly surprised me given that you’re a two-minute walk from Plaza Santa Ana where things can get pretty lively, especially on weekend nights. I stayed there during Semana Santa one year, and while the processions were incredible to watch from the nearby streets, I could still get decent sleep – the windows do their job. The staff really knows their stuff too; they’ll point you toward the good tapas spots that aren’t just tourist traps, like that little place around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago where locals actually eat.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between location and livability. You’re close enough to walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar without breaking a sweat (honestly, it’s maybe a seven-minute stroll), but you’re not dealing with the constant tour group traffic that hits some of the hotels closer to those major sites. The Alfalfa neighborhood is just up the street – perfect for grocery runs or catching that daily market vibe – and if you need to get anywhere else in the city, the tram stop isn’t far. Parking can be tricky in this part of town (well, it’s tricky everywhere in Seville’s old quarter), but they’ll help you sort that out. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me; it’s solid without being flashy, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re spending your days wandering around one of Spain’s most beautiful cities and just need a comfortable, well-located base to come back to.

  We loved how close it was to everything – plus it had super comfy beds! We had everything we needed for our stay.

  The locationis was perfect, it's close to shopping and restaurants and the Cathedral is just a block away. Tram is a block away. It's a nice place, great bed, everything you need. The check in was easy check and us two girls felt very safe. The price was really good for the location.
  
  What could be improved: I can't say I had a problem with anything really, the apartment is on the smaller side but I was only there to sleep and shower.

  A wonderful, spacious apartment, in a great location.
  Our host was very responsive to any questions we had.
  Beds were very comfortable, good shower (tip: open both folding shower doors to give yourself a little more room to dry off). Clear instructions on how to use the stove top, and they have printed out recommended places to eat, emergency info etc, which is always helpful. All in all a great stay!
  
  What could be improved: There were a couple of very minor kitchen utensil items that would have been helpful, but our host said he could remedy that same day if we wanted! (not a big deal. but will be nice for future guests)

  Unbeatable location, close to everything in the heart of Seville a few steps away from La Giralda and local bars and dinning facilities. Host was very attentive to detail and answer all our questions. Quiet building and area during day and night.
  
  What could be improved: There's a sewer smell when you walk in the building but doesn't get into the apartment.

  Location was good, close to major attractions in the old town
  
  What could be improved: The space was a bit smaller than anticipated, could have done with a few more towels considering we were staying for 4 nights. There was a lingering odour in the apartment, possibly from the drains, this smell was also evident in the hallway as you entered the building.
