Hotel Description

You know what surprised me most about Alohamundi Gavidia? It’s tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street – Calle Teodosio – that honestly feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s private neighborhood rather than tourist central. I mean, you’re still in the heart of Seville’s old town, but there’s something refreshingly quiet about this particular corner that makes you forget you’re walking distance from the cathedral crowds.

The hotel itself has this understated elegance that actually works better than some of the flashier places I’ve stayed. The building feels authentically Sevillian – thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside (and trust me, Seville gets properly hot), and these gorgeous traditional tiles that seem to change color depending on the light streaming through the windows. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how rare that is. They pointed me toward this tiny tapas bar two streets over that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip.

What really sets this place apart is how it balances that old-world Seville charm with the kind of comfort you actually want after a long day of walking on cobblestones. The rooms are spacious by European standards – I could actually open my suitcase without rearranging the furniture – and the beds are properly comfortable, not just pretty to look at. The bathrooms have great water pressure too, which might sound trivial until you’ve spent a week taking lukewarm dribble showers elsewhere. There’s also this lovely interior courtyard that catches the morning light beautifully, perfect for coffee before the day gets too warm. The location means you can walk to basically everything – the Alcázar is maybe ten minutes away, the cathedral even closer – but when you come back in the evening, you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drags. Parking is tricky in this part of town (it’s old Seville, so the streets weren’t exactly designed for cars), but the hotel staff sorted that out with a nearby garage without me even asking. Honestly, with an 8.9 rating, I was expecting good things, but this place delivered that rare combination of character and comfort that makes you want to extend your stay just to enjoy the hotel itself.

  Perfect location, bars/restaurants less than a minute away. Easy to walk to cathedral etc..
  Very well equipped kitchen and tea/coffee a nice touch

  The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city yet quiet. Very spacious and well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable , bathrooms clean. Great private courtyard, quite unique.
  
  What could be improved: I really didn’t like the strong smell of scent diffusers. Perhaps it’s just me but there was a pungent stench in the living room and kitchen all throughout our stay even after removing the diffusers.

  The apartment was very comfortable. It was spacious, it felt like home! The centre was a 10 minutes walk and restaurants and shops were nearby. The staff was friendly, we really enjoyed our stay.
  
  What could be improved: In the bathroom attached to the bedroom there was a window, which made it possible for people in the hallway of the building to look into your bathroom. There was nothing to covet the window, no curtains or shutters. There is a second bathroom which does have this, so it was not an issue. Perhaps something to improve.

  Very spacious apartment. We were 2 people but a family of 4 can stay there easily. It has separate bedrooms and separate full bathrooms. This made our stay extra comfortable. The house is located in a very convenient place to explore local districts of Sevilla. The host was very attentive and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone.

  The home was well kept, clean, easy to access and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The AC wasn't working. Despite troubleshooting once by the owner, it kept going off which made the stay very uncomfortable.

  El apartamento es precioso y muy amplio, te encuentras como en casa. Llegas al centro caminando, hay tiendas, supermercados y restaurantes al lado. A pesar de estar en una zona con mucho ambiente no se escuchaba ningún ruido, ni de la calle ni de los vecinos. Las camas muy cómodas. Personal amabilísimo (también el personal de limpieza), siempre dispuestos a ayudar, resolvían dudas en cuestión de minutos, incluso por WhatsApp. Pudimos entrar antes de la hora prevista sin cargo adicional.
