Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of hotels in Seville, and Alohamundi Gavidia II caught me off guard in the best way possible. The name’s a bit of a mouthful — honestly, I just called it “that place on Calle Ceres” when telling friends about it — but don’t let that throw you off. You’re literally in the heart of the old town here, and I mean the real deal, not some touristy approximation. The building itself has that weathered Andalusian charm where you can practically feel the history seeping through the walls, but inside? They’ve nailed that tricky balance between authentic character and actually wanting to sleep comfortably.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being surrounded by… well, everything. You’d think being this close to the cathedral area would mean constant noise, but the rooms face an interior courtyard that creates this little bubble of calm. The staff knows their stuff too — not in that overly rehearsed way, but like they actually live here and can tell you which tapas place around the corner doesn’t serve frozen croquetas (trust me, this matters). I watched them help an older couple figure out the best route to the Alcázar that avoided the midday crowds, complete with hand-drawn shortcuts through the narrow streets. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t Google.

The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a proper 4-star in this part of town — clean, well-appointed, with those thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside. Air conditioning actually works, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many “charming” old town hotels skimp on this. My room had these traditional tiles that probably date back decades, but the bathroom was completely modern. Sometimes the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty on the upper floors, but honestly, if you’re doom-scrolling in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, you’re doing it wrong anyway. The whole experience feels less like staying in a hotel and more like having a well-connected friend let you crash at their perfectly located pied-à-terre. You’ll end up walking to dinner instead of taking taxis, discovering those tiny plazas that don’t make it into guidebooks, and actually understanding why people fall head-over-heels for Seville.

  good position and easy to get in. This apartment has bathrooms for each bedroom, which is very friendly for multi-person accommodation.

  Well located and spacious (two bedrooms, two baths, living with kitchen and dinning).
  Air conditioning in every room. It was not necessary to use it (being the beginning of October), but we appreciated it.
  The hosts are very responsive.
  It seems hidden, but with Google Maps you can easily reach the entrance.

  The apartment is in a great location and is clean, comfortable, and spacious for 4 adults. We walked a bit further from the apartment to get a taxi as it is slightly hidden. There is a grocery store nearby and a charming plaza. There are 2 bathrooms, although the sink in one of the bathrooms is just for washing hands (very small). The washing machine was useful. We stayed on the first floor. There is no elevator so keep this in mind. Hosts were responsive to concerns. Highly recommend this place.

  Great location, near a Mercadona as well as two smaller shops. Aircon worked well in the 37 degree heat. Two bathrooms with showers is great for two couples sharing.
