Hotel Description

So I stumbled upon Alohamundi Harinas completely by accident – well, actually my original booking fell through and I was scrambling for something decent in Seville’s old town that wouldn’t break the bank. Honestly? Best travel mishap ever. This place sits right on Calle Harinas, which if you don’t know the area, is this narrow cobblestone street that feels like you’re walking through a postcard, but without all the tourist chaos you get closer to the cathedral. The hotel itself is tucked into what looks like it used to be several traditional Andalusian houses, and they’ve done this really thoughtful job of keeping the original character – you know, those gorgeous interior courtyards with the fountain in the middle that actually works, thick white walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside in July.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to actually live in Seville, not just work there. The guy at reception (I think his name was Miguel?) gave me this hand-drawn map showing which tapas bars the locals hit up versus the tourist traps – turns out there’s this incredible little spot called El Rinconcillo just a five-minute walk away that’s been serving jamón since before Columbus set sail. The rooms themselves are honestly better than I expected for a four-star – mine had these gorgeous traditional tiles in the bathroom and a tiny balcony overlooking the courtyard where you could hear the fountain trickling at night instead of traffic noise. I mean, you’re still in the heart of a city so it’s not silent, but there’s something really soothing about hearing distant flamenco guitar drifting from the bars nearby rather than car horns. The air conditioning actually works (crucial in Seville summers), and they’ve got this old-school elevator that’s probably been there since the 1950s but somehow adds to the charm rather than feeling sketchy.

Here’s the thing though – if you’re looking for a massive pool or a fancy spa, this isn’t your spot. What you get instead is something way more valuable: you’re literally a three-minute stumble from some of the best bars in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, the Alcázar is close enough that you can pop over for sunrise photos before the crowds arrive, and you can walk to the river in about ten minutes when you need to escape the narrow streets for some open space. The breakfast spread is solid – proper Spanish tortilla, decent coffee, fresh bread – nothing fancy but everything tastes like it’s made by people who care. I stayed there in late September when the weather was perfect, and honestly, I kept extending my trip partly because I didn’t want to leave this little pocket of authentic Seville. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying in the real city, not some sanitized hotel version of it.

Reviews

  • Neil from United Kingdom – 5 June 2025 (8/10)

    Location excellent for everything
    Well appointed apartment

What could be improved: Decor and furnishings a little tired

  • Joan from Ireland – 13 May 2025 (8/10)

Superb location, very spacious for a couple, very bright, huge private roof terrace, well stocked grocery store opposite open till late.

What could be improved: kitchen and bathroom supplies lacking : only 1 toilet roll, no products for cleaning bathroom or kitchen, no tea towel, no salt, pepper, sugar or other basics (except coffee), no spare linen (we stayed for 13 days, had to wash and hang bed linen to dry in sun).

  • Alla from Austria – 28 April 2025 (9/10)

Many thanks to the team for our lovely stay in your apartment in Seville! Great apartment in the best location with all the necessary appliances. Apartment had everything which is necessary for the comfortable stay. Terrace was unforgetable, we enjoyed the breakfasts with the beautiful views on Cathedral, surrounding Old Town and Easter processions during Semana Santa. The Team was
always very helpful, our numerous questions were answered almost immediately. We all have decided that we will come back to Seville and will definitely stay in that same apartment, hopefully, it will be available.

What could be improved: Everything was perfect

  • Patrick from United Kingdom – 7 March 2025 (9/10)

    Location, space and facilities

What could be improved: Minor points, the 'bouncy' floor needs fixing, especially in the bedroom. Damp on the bedroom wall from the bathroom. Bed could do with mattress pad and better pillows.

  • Paul from Canada – 2 March 2025 (9/10)

Great location. The large private terrace was worth the price of admission. The flat was large and airy and in a great location.

What could be improved: The cookware wasn't induction compatible, and the cap coffee only worked sometimes.

  • Thomas from United States – 28 June 2024 (9/10)

One of our favorite flats! So easy access to everywhere! We love the terrace especially 2nd one on the higher top where we can see the city surrounding!

  • Candace from United States – 16 April 2024 (9/10)

Loved it – especially the big patio/balcony.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Nancy from United States – 16 March 2024 (9/10)

The King bed was wonderful. The bathroom was wonderful. The kitchen was wonderful. Washer and dryer wonderful. The response time when had questions was wonderful.

What could be improved: It was noisy when the bars and resturants closed and folks were walking outside. The window shutters to the inside courtyard didn't close all the way so light came through during the night. We stuffed pillows in the space and that helped.

  • Rachid from Morocco – 3 March 2024 (9/10)

    Location, terrace, staffs…..everything

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • John from United Kingdom – 19 December 2022 (9/10)

What a fabulous location for a really well managed and organised property, right down to a full video showing you everything that was needed to get into the property seamlessly. Communications were swift and extremely helpful with detailed suggestions for a gastronomic romp – one of the joys of Seville. Even though the weather could have been better, we thoroughly enjoyed the view over the Giralda from the terrace.

What could be improved: One or two of the patio windows could have been secured better.
