Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Sevilla’s old quarter, and Alohamundi Puerta Osario actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. The location on Calle Salinas is honestly perfect – you’re deep enough in the historic center to feel like you’re living in medieval Spain, but you won’t be dodging tour groups every time you step outside your door.

The building itself has this gorgeous Andalusian courtyard that hits you the moment you walk in. I mean, the photos online don’t do it justice – there’s something about the way the light filters down through the arches in the late afternoon that makes you want to just sit there with a drink and forget you have places to be. The rooms manage to blend modern comfort with authentic touches without going overboard on the “rustic charm” thing that so many hotels in this area get wrong. Air conditioning that actually works (crucial in Sevilla summers, trust me), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. What I really appreciated was the attention to sound – these old buildings can be echo chambers, but they’ve done something right with the insulation because street noise isn’t an issue.

You know what really sold me on this place though? The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood. Not in that rehearsed concierge way, but like they actually live here. When I asked about avoiding the crowds at the Cathedral, the guy at reception gave me this whole breakdown of timing that you’d only know from walking past it every day for years. Plus, you’re a five-minute walk from some of the best tapas bars that tourists never find – there’s this tiny place around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago where locals actually eat, not just the Instagram-friendly spots. The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, which honestly works in their favor because why would you eat hotel food when you’re surrounded by some of the best eating in Spain? Parking is always going to be a nightmare in this part of town – that’s just Sevilla for you – but they’ll sort you out with a nearby garage that won’t completely break the bank. I’d definitely come back, especially since the 8.4 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it nails everything that actually matters when you’re exploring one of Europe’s most incredible cities.

  Apartamento bien ubicado, a unos 15 m de la Catedral de Sevilla. Las camas y las almohadas muy confortables. El apartamento estaba muy limpio, con todo lo necesario en menaje en la cocina.
  Había champú, gel y jabón de manos, así como fregaplatos …
  No vimos a nadie a nuestra llegada, pero, las instrucciones estaban claras. Además, pudimos mantenernos en contacto, para cualquier duda, nos respondían enseguida, con amabilidad.
  Nos resolvieron enseguida, un pequeño problema con el aire acondicionado, sin ninguna molestia.
  Todas las habitaciones disponen de aire acondicionado, y en una de ellas, además del salón, tb tiene televisión.

  Era un apartamento, así que no daban desayuno. La ubicación es en el casco antiguo pero a 15 minutos a pie paseando por sus calles llegabas al centro cómodamente.
