You know what really got me about Alohamundi Quevedo? It’s tucked right on Calle Quevedo in the heart of Seville’s old town, and honestly – I wasn’t expecting much from the narrow street entrance. But step inside and it’s like someone took a traditional Andalusian house and gave it this subtle, almost tropical twist that somehow works perfectly. The lobby has these gorgeous tiles that catch the afternoon light streaming through the interior courtyard, and there’s this faint scent of orange blossoms that drifts in from somewhere (probably the nearby Alcázar gardens, if I had to guess).
The location is actually incredible once you realize what you’re working with. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral – I timed it – and the Santa Cruz neighborhood is right there with all those winding medieval streets that tourists love getting lost in. But here’s the thing locals know: Calle Quevedo is just far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of people taking photos outside your hotel at 7 AM. The street gets some foot traffic during the day, sure, but it quiets down beautifully in the evenings. Parking is… well, it’s old town Seville, so forget about driving here. But the tram stop at Plaza Nueva is maybe eight minutes on foot, and honestly, you’ll want to walk everywhere anyway.
What really sets this place apart is how they’ve nailed that balance between authentic Sevillano charm and actual comfort. The rooms aren’t huge – this is a converted historic building, so manage your expectations – but they’re thoughtfully designed with these beautiful ceramic details and surprisingly good air conditioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July). The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too. When I asked about flamenco shows, they didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure – they recommended this tiny tablao on Calle Betis that locals go to, and it was absolutely perfect. The 8.5 rating makes sense when you experience little touches like that. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it’s genuinely well-run and the kind of place where someone clearly cares about the details. If you want to feel like you’re staying in real Seville rather than some generic hotel that could be anywhere, this is your spot.

The apartment was very well equipped for a 2 week stay, even had tablets for dishwasher and washing machine, and a large fridge/freezer. Very spacious and modern. It looks out onto a shared secure courtyard, which is not only attractive but also means it is quiet and felt safe, which was important to me as a solo traveller. 15 – 20 minutes walk to the river / cathedral, 5 to supermarkets / restaurants and a good flamenco show. Extra touches such as scented diffusers made it feel very welcoming.
What could be improved: I was given a fresh supply of towels at the end of the first week; it would have been nice to have had fresh bedlinen as well.

Excellent location. Very spacious. En suite bathroom had a very large shower. Kitchen well equipped for city break. Hosts very quick to respond to questions.
Very central location but very quiet due to low traffic noise in the historical streets (not meant for cars to race along). The appartement is beautiful at a perfect location. The grocery shop is close by and wonderful bars and restaurant are on walking distance. The area is also really quiet so we enjoyed our stay a lot. I highly recommend this appartement!
