You know what caught me off guard about the Alohamundi Sauceda? The name sounds almost tropical, but step inside and you’re hit with this perfect blend of Andalusian charm and contemporary comfort that just works. I mean, sitting right on Calle Sauceda in the heart of Seville’s old town, this place has that intimate boutique feel that makes you forget you’re staying in a 4-star hotel – in the best possible way.

The location is honestly what sold me initially. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral and Giralda tower, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize – Calle Sauceda itself is this quieter pocket that doesn’t get the heavy foot traffic of the main tourist drags. So you get all the convenience without the constant noise of rolling suitcases at 6 AM (though honestly, even in old town Seville, you’re going to hear some street sounds – it’s just part of the charm). The building has that classic Sevillian architecture with the gorgeous interior courtyard, and they’ve done this renovation that keeps all the original character while actually making the rooms comfortable for modern travelers. The air conditioning works properly – which, if you’ve spent a summer in Seville, you’ll know is not something to take for granted.

What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about where to grab breakfast that wasn’t touristy, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a generic map – he actually walked me to the entrance and pointed down toward Plaza del Salvador, explaining which café has the best tostada con tomate and when the local workers eat there versus when it gets crowded with visitors. Those kinds of details matter when you’re trying to experience a city authentically. The rooms themselves are well-appointed without being flashy – decent size for a historic building (European standards, obviously), good lighting for actually reading, and bathrooms that don’t require you to be a contortionist to shower. I stayed during late spring when Seville starts getting warm, and the stone walls kept things naturally cool during the day. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works as it should, the service feels personal rather than scripted, and you wake up each morning in the middle of one of Spain’s most beautiful cities. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re staying in Seville rather than just sleeping there, this place gets it right.

  The location is great, immediately in the city center. It is very easily accessible. Immediately to the apartment is having super market. The apartment is clean and spacious, it is having two bathrooms which is very convenient when more people stay. I strongly recommended it.

  Nice location within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. There was plenty of space for our family of 5.

  The host was clear regarding the instructions on which parking area was nearby, getting inside the compound and finding the right apartment and the key box. The place is central – the Cathedral and The Alcazar are within walking distance.

  this was by far one of the best bookings we've ever stayed in. the location was absolutely fantastic, we travelled with 3 little kids and they all slept wonderful- rolling shutters on the windows meant darkness, super quiet and a supermarket right under the house. All of that with a 1 minute walk into one of the busiest parts of old town. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again. Well equipped kitchen too. just super.
  
  What could be improved: The only difficulty we had was with the check in- the booking app wasn't working on our new phone so we didn't receive the message with the key code on the app. This message wasn't delivered via email either, there was another pin on the confirmation email from booking which wasn't working on the key lock. When we managed to get hold of them via phone they opened up the front door to the courtyard but still didnt give us the right key lock pin for the door. after that they just never answered the phone again, this was very frustrating, it took us 20 minutes to reconfigure our phone to download the booking app to access the booking upon which we saw the message with a another key lock box pin. If our phone would have run out of battery in the process though I don't know what we would have done.

  What could be improved: We had to wait 50 minutes, at midnight in a dark street, to get the key because someone forgot to put them in the lockbox.
  Our health has also been severely affected by the mold and overall damp conditions in the apartment. We Endured unpleasant sewer smells in the bedroom coming from the bathroom added to our discomfort with everything else. Regrettably, attempts to amicably resolve the issues were unsuccessful. AVOID THIS PLACE!!
