You know what caught me off guard about Alohamundi Sierpes? The name makes it sound like some tropical resort, but honestly, it’s this perfectly tucked-away gem right in the heart of Seville’s old quarter that feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place than a typical hotel. I stumbled across it on Callejón Azofaifo – and yeah, you’ll probably need to ask for directions because it’s one of those narrow side streets that even your GPS gets confused about, but that’s actually part of its charm.

The location is ridiculous in the best way possible. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Calle Sierpes (which explains the name, I guess), and if you know Seville at all, you know that puts you right in the thick of everything without dealing with the tourist chaos on the main drags. You can hear the Cathedral bells in the morning – not loud enough to wake you up, but just enough to remind you where you are. The building itself has that classic Andalusian vibe with the whitewashed walls and those gorgeous blue accent tiles, though they’ve done something smart with the interior that feels contemporary without trying too hard. The rooms are actually spacious, which is pretty rare in the old town where most places feel like they carved bedrooms out of medieval closets.

What really sold me on this place was the staff – they’re the kind of people who remember your name and actually give you restaurant recommendations that aren’t just the touristy spots everyone else suggests. When I mentioned I wanted to find good tapas, the front desk guy drew me a little map to this hole-in-the-wall place on Calle Alemanes that I never would’ve found otherwise. The 8.7 rating makes sense because it’s those little touches that add up. The air conditioning actually works (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t spend your vacation complaining about your back. There’s no pool or fancy spa stuff, but honestly, you’re in Seville – you didn’t come here to sit by a pool anyway.

The only minor thing I’d mention is that parking can be a bit of a puzzle since you’re in the pedestrian zone, but there’s a public garage about a block away, and the hotel can arrange it if you call ahead. Also, if you’re sensitive to street noise, ask for a room facing the interior courtyard – though personally, I loved falling asleep to the sound of people chatting on their way home from dinner. It felt authentically Sevillano, you know? Overall, it’s one of those places where the four-star rating actually means something, and you get the sense that someone really thought about what travelers actually want rather than just checking boxes.

  Firstly we were kept informed of the information they needed prior to us arriving ie. registering our documents etc. We were sent information /video on how to access the apartment and was very straight forward and we had a phone no in case of problem. We loved the apartment, it had everything we needed so we could sleep/breakfast and it was located just by lots of restaurants for the evening. It was very clean and exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of room and a good sized fridge and dishwasher. The two bathrooms were perfect with really good showers, one had a washing machine in but we never used this. The guidebook left at the apartment gave full information on how to use appliances and what was around the area and in case of emergency. The hairdryer was very good too and there was handwash at the sinks and bodywash/shampoo in the shower. A bonus was a lift as we were on the 3rd floor and after you had wandered around sites all day it was a relief not to walk up so many stairs. We would definitely stay here again when in Seville. Thank you for your support and contributing to a wonderful time in Seville.

  What could be improved: It would have been useful to have shelves in the bathroom to accommodate our toiletries. Hot water for a shower was a problem. Not enough for 4 people to have a shower.

  Location of apartment was amazing – right in the heart of things yet in a quiet side street.. Great to be able to step out and have shops and restaurants handy. The apartment itself was clean and the beds comfortable. Aircon incredibly quiet (yet effective). Security was good and lift and passageways also clean and well-maintained.
  
  What could be improved: It was a bit dark inside though I guess that helps keep it cool.

  Great location, right on the main street with lots of shops and very close to all the main attractions. Perfect for exploring Seville on foot!
