Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about this place? It’s actually *in* Triana – not just claiming to be nearby like so many hotels do. I mean, you’re literally walking on cobblestones that locals have been using for decades, and honestly, that makes all the difference when you’re trying to get a real feel for Seville.

The location on Calle Castilla is pretty much perfect if you ask me. You’re close enough to hear the faint sounds of flamenco drifting from the peñas (those little flamenco clubs that tourists usually never find), but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with crowds stumbling back from the cathedral at midnight. I stayed here during April – which, fair warning, is absolutely packed because of Easter processions – and while the neighborhood got lively, the actual street stayed surprisingly quiet for sleeping. The walk to the Puente de Isabel II takes maybe three minutes, so you’re never really cut off from the main city center, but there’s something about being on the Triana side that feels more… I don’t know, authentic? Less like you’re staying in a tourist bubble.

What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. Not just the obvious stuff like where to catch the bus, but proper local intel – like which tapas bar on Calle Betis has the best pescaíto frito (it’s not the one with all the tourists lined up outside), or that Thursday evenings there’s usually impromptu flamenco at the ceramics market. The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Andalusian feel – thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside, and you can tell it’s been recently updated without losing its character. My room overlooked the street, and while there’s some morning activity from the local shops opening up, it’s the kind of neighborhood noise that actually makes you feel connected to the place rather than annoyed by it.

Honestly, the 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works well and the location is genuinely special. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (most streets around here are pretty narrow), but there’s a public lot about a five-minute walk away that locals pointed me toward. The whole area comes alive in the evenings when families come out for their paseos and the riverside restaurants start filling up. You’ll probably end up spending more time exploring Triana than you planned – there’s this great ceramics workshop right around the corner where you can watch artisans working, and the Saturday market is absolutely worth getting up early for. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Seville beyond just checking off the major sights.

Reviews

  • Javier from Spain – 12 May 2025 (9/10)

Lovely and comfty place. Great location and good facilities in general

What could be improved: It was a good value price compromise

  • Oleg from Germany – 8 February 2025 (9/10)

    Great location
    Per friendly, no extra charges
Free street parking if you are lucky to find one.
    Comfortable and spacious bed
    Easy check in

What could be improved: Shower cabin very, very small…difficult to fit in

  • Wendy from United States – 3 February 2025 (8/10)

The host was amazing. They provided lots of info about the area and communicated quickly.

  • Amy from Australia – 20 September 2024 (9/10)

Loved the location of this property- just out of the main streets but close walking distance to everything (including great coffee and a restaurants!). The host was fantastic – allowing early check in for us and had great communication! Loved the ability to cook our own food if we wanted.

What could be improved: Only minor setbacks: iron didn’t work and the microwave (wasn’t an issue for us as we didn’t need). The street can be a little noisy late at night on the weekend if you are on the ground floor with people walking by but expected in a city!

  • Ariën from Belgium – 6 March 2024 (9/10)

Very central, close to all the Triana sights as well as the main sights across the river.

What could be improved: Perhaps an extra blanket for the bed because it was quite cool in the apartment, although we did not need to use the extra heating device.

  • Diana from Romania – 23 January 2024 (9/10)

Very good communication with the host, lots of details and tips, responsive when asked. The apartment is nice, clean, enough kitchen appliances. The erea is quiet and easy to reach the center on foot.

  • Sharon from United Kingdom – 8 January 2024 (8/10)

Fantastic location , clean , and comfortable, with great communication with the staff , who provided really useful information , and a reasonable price for Xmas / new year .

What could be improved: The window was straight on the street and at street level . It let in a lot of noise at night .
The shower was extremely small , and difficult to move without moving the tap off or change temperature
There were two cups, but one had a big crack.

  • Rachel from Spain – 11 November 2023 (9/10)

Great location, 10 min walk from bus station, in a quiet area right by the river, short walk to the market, puente de Isabella and main street of Triana with its many tapas bars, 15 minute walk to cathedral and historic centre. Apartment was well equipped, clean and comfortable, easy to find, the host gave us clear instructions on how to reach the apartment and how to retrieve the keys as well as lots of information about things to do in the area.

What could be improved: Everything was good, just a few suggestions a corkscrew and dust pan and brush would have been useful, also the road can be a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning so if you are a light sleeper it would be a good idea to pack earplugs!

  • Malisic from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 27 October 2023 (8/10)

Apartment in a nice and quiet place. Historical attractions within a 20-minute walk. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Excellent communication with the owner of the apartment.

What could be improved: Small shower cabin.

  • Stanislav from Spain – 25 April 2025 (9/10)

Thanks a lot to Carmen who met me at the door!
