Hotel Description
So I’ve stayed at the Andalusian Courtyard a couple times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets everything right. You know how some hotels feel like they’re trying too hard? This isn’t one of them. It sits right on Calle Santiago in the heart of Seville’s old town – and I mean really in the heart of it, where you can actually hear the clip-clop of horse carriages in the morning and catch the scent of orange blossoms drifting over from the nearby plazas.
The thing that got me the first time was walking through that entrance and suddenly finding yourself in this gorgeous interior courtyard. I mean, the name literally tells you what to expect, but it still catches you off guard – all those hand-painted tiles, the fountain trickling away in the center, and these little balconies looking down from the upper floors. It’s quintessentially Andalusian without feeling like a theme park version of itself, if that makes sense. The rooms are actually quite modern inside (thank god for decent air conditioning in August), but they’ve kept all the character details – the high ceilings, original beams, those thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet despite being smack in the middle of everything. Fair warning though: some of the rooms on the street side can get a bit noisy during weekend nights when the tapas crowds are out, but honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying in the old quarter.
What I really appreciate is how the staff actually knows the neighborhood – not just the tourist stuff, but where to grab the best montaditos at 11 PM or which flamenco bars are worth your time versus the tourist traps. The concierge pointed me toward this tiny ceramics shop tucked away on Calle Sierpes that I never would have found otherwise. And speaking of location, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and maybe ten from the Alcázar, but more importantly, you’re right in the maze of narrow streets where Seville actually happens. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking (most places in the old town don’t), but there’s a public garage about three blocks away – they’ll give you directions and it’s not too brutal price-wise. Check-in was smooth both times I’ve been there, and they’re pretty flexible if you need to store bags before your room’s ready. The whole place just has this relaxed, lived-in feel that makes you want to linger in that courtyard with a glass of wine before heading out to explore. At 8.9 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it – it’s that sweet spot of authentic character, solid comfort, and being right where you want to be without paying palace hotel prices.

It’s a beautiful accommodation in a historic courtyard. It’s very peaceful and the apartment is well appointed.
It provided everything we needed and we absolutely loved the courtyard area. We definitely hope to stay here again.
What could be improved: Not an issue for us- but please note that there are strict rules in this building about noise, and silence if preferred. Consider travelling light as you need to go up 2 flights of stairs (no elevators).
The host was helpful but we found frequency of messaging on WhatsApp too much for our 2 night stay.Paula from Romania – 4 September 2024 (9/10)
Very quiet and comfortable. It was close to the centre and the important historic monuments and attractions. We felt at home!
Yvonne from Australia – 30 August 2024 (8/10)
