Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Angeles House? The moment you turn onto that narrow cobblestone street in Seville’s old quarter, you’re immediately transported back about 500 years. I mean, Street Angeles 3 is literally tucked between these ancient buildings where you can practically feel the history seeping through the walls. The hotel itself is this beautifully restored traditional Andalusian house that manages to feel both authentic and polished – honestly, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and actually pay attention to details like the original ceramic tiles under your feet.

The location is absolutely perfect if you want to experience real Seville without the tourist circus. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (and trust me, you’ll hear those bells), but the street itself stays surprisingly quiet – well, except for the occasional horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping past in the early morning. What I loved is that you can walk to basically everything that matters: the Alcázar, those winding Santa Cruz neighborhood alleys where you’ll definitely get lost at least once, and some incredible tapas bars that locals actually frequent. The staff here actually knows the area – they pointed me toward this tiny sherry bar around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise.

The rooms have that perfect balance of old-world charm and modern comfort that’s honestly hard to pull off. High ceilings with exposed beams, but the air conditioning actually works (crucial in Seville summers, believe me). The bathrooms are updated without feeling sterile, and the beds are genuinely comfortable – not always a given in boutique hotels. I stayed during Holy Week and while the neighborhood got pretty lively with processions, the thick walls kept things peaceful inside. One thing to note: if you’re driving, parking can be tricky in the old town, but the hotel staff helped arrange a spot nearby. The 8.4 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails what it is: a thoughtfully run place that lets you experience Seville like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully maintained family home rather than just passing through as another tourist.

    Host Elena was very responsive to questions and issues. House was very good for what we needed—2 bedrooms, at least 2 bathrooms (there were actually 3, which is unusual in Spain!) for us and daughter, son-in-law, and 5 year old granddaughter. Facilities adequate and location great—on quiet street 2 minutes from 10 + tapas bars and restaurants.

    What could be improved: Could have used some delayed maintenance, and while well supplied with necessities (especially the kitchen), some supplies like toilet paper were minimal and had to buy a lot more. Dishwasher was advantage but difficult to figure out (and no instructions) and impossible to stop or get door opened once operating. Very steep steps—don’t recommend for children under 4.

    What could be improved: Furniture is tired and needs replacement. Bedding linen is old as are the towels in the bathrooms.

    L' emplacement dans le centre historique. Une terrasse avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la Giralda. Un très bel appartement sur 3 niveaux et une entrée patio très andalouse.
    Famille de 5 personnes ravie de son séjour !
    Échanges très sympathiques avec Elena et la dame de ménage.

    What could be improved: Le manque de chaises pour 5 pour manger sur la table du bas. 3 autour de la table et une pliante. Une seule vraie tasse pour un thé ou une tisane. Les autres sont petites.
    Douche qui fuit au 1er étage.
