Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment hotel tucked away on a narrow street in Seville’s old quarter, but the AoA Conde de Ibarra actually surprised me. The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the real Seville – you’re literally steps from the cathedral (I mean, you can hear the bells, which is either charming or annoying depending on how you feel about 7 AM wake-up calls), but it’s on this quiet little street that most tourists just walk past without noticing.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which I actually loved. The space is bigger than you’d expect – I mean, we’re talking about buildings that are probably 400 years old here, so you learn not to expect American-sized rooms. But honestly, the layout works really well, and there’s this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at those sterile chain hotels near the river. The kitchen is small but functional (perfect for making coffee and storing those amazing pastries from the bakery around the corner on Calle Alemanes), and the Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos or actually get some work done. Check-in was straightforward, though like most places in this part of town, don’t expect to drive right up to the door – the streets here were built for horses, not rental cars.

What really makes this place work is the neighborhood vibe. You’re a two-minute walk from the Real Alcázar, but you’re also surrounded by actual locals going about their daily business. There’s this little tapas bar literally next door where the bartender will remember your order by the third day, and you can walk to the main shopping streets without dealing with the tourist crowds that pile up around the cathedral entrance. The building itself is classic Andalusian – thick walls that keep things cool (thank god, because Seville summers are brutal), and that particular kind of quiet you get in these old places. Sure, the 7.9 rating isn’t going to blow anyone away, and honestly, some of the fixtures could use updating, but for the price point and location, it’s a solid choice. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to spend more time exploring the Santa Cruz neighborhood properly instead of just rushing through it with a tour group.

  The home was neat and clean and a great space for our trip of three friends. The air conditioning was a great bonus and the location was utterly fantastic.
  
  What could be improved: There was loads of cupboard space but only about 8 clothes hangers which was odd. The kitchen is a little small and the cupboards are difficult to open so I'd not recommend cooking at home very much but the fridge is huge and we had no particular issues.

  great location, nice host, the apartment is clean and comfortable, 2 bathrooms are very friendly for group travelers
  
  What could be improved: The lock of the building is little hard to use, but it's not the problem of this apartment and the landlord. All buildings in the center of city are old, but charming. we arrived very late, couldn't open the gate, thanks for the host responsed very fast, and staff came in time to show us how to open it.

  The property is in an excellent location in the old town just a few minutes walk from the cathedral and Alcazar. The apartment is pretty spacious with air conditioning in every room. Good wifi.
  
  What could be improved: The two locks on the main outside door are very fiddly and needed to be done in the right sequence. The apartment is up three flights of steep steps and wouldn't be suitable if you had heavy luggage.

  The location was excellent for walking around and visit famous attractions.
  The size of the apartment is great, with 2 bathrooms luxury.
  
  What could be improved: The guidelines for the entrance could be sent in advance. Some sheets seemed not to be fresh. The coffee machine was not useful (wrong capsules)

  The location is excellent. It is a big apartment in the heart of the city. It is fairly equipped.
  
  What could be improved: Entering the apartment was not super easy, but it was OK. There are 5-6 different key boxes and you need to find the right one. The entrance door is also a bit tricky, but ok.

  Very spacious! Two double bedrooms and one of them has an en suite (as well as the main bathroom off the living room) and a walk in wardrobe!

  There was a coffee maker, but it would have been nice if there was coffee. The apartment itself was comfortable, clean, and I liked the style. The location was good and it was easy to leave our bags early upon arrival and pick them up late after check out.
  
  What could be improved: The owners have been impossible since our stay. I stayed for work and have been calling and writing for a month to get the invoice for work. I told them I would need an invoice back in September, so it was clear when I reserved the apartment. If they weren't going to be able to provide it, they should have said something 2.5 months ago and I would have cancelled the reservation. Other places are respectful and timely about invoices, this place is a nightmare.
