You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first saw the address on Calle San Eloy – I mean, it’s tucked away in this narrow street that honestly looks like every other historic lane in Seville’s old quarter. But then you climb up to that rooftop terrace, and suddenly you’re staring straight at the Magdalena Church’s bell tower, and it hits you why this place has such a specific name. The view is actually spectacular, especially around sunset when the golden hour light catches all those terracotta rooftops stretching toward the Guadalquivir.
The apartment itself feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile – there’s character in the thick walls and traditional tiles, but someone clearly put thought into making it work for travelers. The kitchen’s compact but functional (I made coffee there every morning), and the whole place stays surprisingly cool even during Seville’s brutal summer heat. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, which is saying something considering you’re literally in the heart of the old town. I guess being on a smaller street helps – you get all the medieval charm without the constant clip-clop of horse carriages that echoes through the main tourist drags. The building itself is classic Sevillano architecture, complete with that slightly tricky narrow staircase that makes you grateful you didn’t overpack.
Location-wise, you’re about a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and maybe eight minutes to the Real Alcázar, but here’s the thing – you feel like you’re staying in an actual neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. There’s a little tapas bar around the corner where locals actually drink their morning coffee, and the closest grocery store is run by this older couple who’ve probably been there for decades. Parking is basically impossible on the street itself (welcome to historic Seville), but there’s a public garage about ten minutes away if you’re driving. Honestly though, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car – everything worth seeing is walkable, and the rooftop alone makes it worth staying in just to watch the city wake up with your coffee or wind down with a glass of wine. The 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you experience that combination of authentic location, thoughtful details, and that killer view that never gets old.

perfect location, spacious room, walkable distance to everywhere, washing machine very helpful even though it is on the roof floor,host reachable by what's up anytime, has anything you need
What could be improved: I booked this place because I saw their answer to the question that there is a locker downstairs for luggage storage if the room is busy, but when I was there,I was told there is none and I had to go to some rental locker nearby, which made me some disappointed , luckily finally the host agreed me to leave the luggage in the place until 6pm.Hadden from United Kingdom – 11 April 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location. Clean, modern apartment with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Our host was there to meet us and explain everything. She was in contact during our stay to check how we were and if we needed any help. You can walk to all the main attractions. Lots of shops and cafes nearby plus a taxi rank.

Very well equipped. All basic salt pepper tea coffee oil vinegar etc in the cupboard. First aid kit, sewing kit. Spotlessly clean, secure and quiet. Very helpful English speaking hostess.

Great location, right in the centre, close to all amenities. The host was only a WhatsApp message away and responded promptly. Very spacious and fully stocked kitchen. Lift available. The washing machine is on the roof in a separate room, and closed lines are also on the roof, FYI. 😉
What could be improved: There was a slight odour coming from the bathroom, but if you keep the fan on and/or use the air freshener, that works. That's Spain for you. 😉 Also, keep the blind closed that faces the corridor for privacy.
