You know what struck me first about Apartamento Alameda? It’s tucked away on Calle Amor de Dios – and I mean literally tucked away, like the kind of spot you’d walk past three times before realizing it’s there. But that’s actually perfect because you’re right in the heart of Seville’s old town without dealing with the tourist chaos that hits some of the main drags.

The building itself has that weathered Andalusian charm you hope for – you know, the kind where you can practically feel the history in the stonework. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re maybe a five-minute walk from all the tapas bars around Plaza de la Alfalfa. The apartment (it’s on the second floor, hence the 2A) has these gorgeous high ceilings that actually make a difference when Seville gets brutally hot in summer. Honestly, the space feels way more generous than most places you’ll find in this part of town, and there’s something about the way the light filters through the windows in the afternoon that makes you want to just sit there with a book and some wine.

Here’s the thing though – and this is where staying here really pays off – you’re positioned perfectly to explore the old town on foot without feeling like you’re camping out in a tourist trap. The Cathedral and Alcázar are close enough that you can easily walk over, but you’re also near some of the neighborhoods where actual sevillanos hang out. I found myself grabbing coffee at this little place around the corner most mornings, and by day three the owner was asking about my plans for the day. That’s the kind of experience you get when you stay somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood than a hotel district. The cleanliness and attention to detail really show too – I mean, it’s got that 4-star polish without feeling sterile or overly managed. Check-in was smooth (though like most places in the old town, don’t expect to park right outside), and honestly, with an 8.9 rating, I wasn’t surprised that everything felt well thought out. If you’re the type who wants to experience Seville like you actually live there for a few days, rather than just hitting the major sites and moving on, this is exactly the kind of place that makes that possible.

  The location is quite marvelous and perfect for a stay in Sevilla. Maria was a wonderful host and made sure we were taken care of.
  There are restaurants all over and a supermarket nearby. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very cozy!

  The location was exceptional. A 5 minute walk and your in the heart of the town. The host was excellent. The people were very friendly,and overall i would recommend this place
  
  What could be improved: There are bars and restaraunts on your doorstep.The only downside i had with location is, that when all the bars are closed( usually around 2am) the foot traffic where very loud. Having said that, i am a light sleeper and this may not affect other people.

  We have stayed in this apartment previously and chose to go back because it is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the owner is always prompt to respond to any messages or requests. Furthermore, the location is ideal: within the old part of Seville but not overrun with tourists and yet surrounded by shops, tapas bars and restaurants as well as close to the Feria market.

  Nice location, lots of bars, restaurants and cafes nearby in a quiet area of Seville close to the main sights. The apartment had everything we needed, was very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
