It’s tucked into this narrow cobblestone street that feels completely separate from the tourist chaos, even though you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s old quarter. I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes, but Calle Alfaqueque itself has this quiet, residential vibe that most visitors never discover. The building has that classic Andalusian feel – whitewashed walls, wrought iron details – but honestly, it’s the location that really makes this place special.
The apartment itself is well-appointed (I hate that phrase, but it fits) – four-star quality without feeling stuffy or overly formal. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep the historical character while making everything actually functional for modern travelers. The air conditioning works properly – crucial in Seville summers, trust me – and the kitchen is equipped well enough that you could actually cook if you wanted to grab ingredients from the Mercado del Arenal nearby. Though honestly, with tapas bars like El Rinconcillo just a few streets over, why would you? The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings with thick walls.
Here’s what you should know practically speaking: parking is basically impossible right on the street (it’s pedestrian-only anyway), but there’s a public garage about a five-minute walk away on Calle Jimios. The nearest metro stop is Puerta de Jerez, though you’ll probably end up walking everywhere because that’s just how Seville works – everything worth seeing is within twenty minutes on foot. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 PM on weeknights, but weekends can get lively with locals heading to the bars around Plaza del Salvador. Not obnoxious loud, just… alive, you know? Actually, I found it kind of charming to hear the occasional guitar and conversation drifting up from the street. The check-in process was smooth – they met me at the apartment right on time and gave me some solid recommendations for restaurants that weren’t the obvious tourist traps. One thing to note: the stairs are narrow and a bit steep (typical for these old buildings), so if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, pack light or be prepared for a bit of a workout. But honestly, that’s a small price to pay for staying somewhere that feels authentically Sevillano rather than like a generic hotel room that could be anywhere.

The bed was comfy, the apartment was clean and the location was great, very peaceful and close to the city centre.
What could be improved: Firstly, we could not enter the main door on arrival as the key codes did not work, and no one replied to our message. A neighbour pressed the other buzzers and managed to talk in Spanish to someone who opened the door. Then the electric had tripped off, which continued throughout the whole stay, leaving us in the dark when returning home and in the mornings. Perfekte Lage. Sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhige Nachbarschaft. Optimal zum Entdecken der Stadt.
Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

– Die Ausstattung der Wohnung: Jeder, der dort Urlaub gemacht hat, hat etwas für die nächsten dagelassen und es hat an nichts gefehlt.
What could be improved: – Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer/der Eigentümerin: Ich wollte gerne vor Reiseantritt alles geklärt haben mit dem Check-in. Leider hat die Nachrichtenfunktion über die Booking-App nicht funktioniert, auf E-Mails und Anrufe wurde leider nicht geantwortet. Erst am Anreisetag bekam ich Informationen, wie wir ins Apartment reinkommen und musste (noch während ich im Flugzeug saß) den Fragebogen ausfüllen. Die Mails, die kamen, waren sehr nett, kamen aber leider sehr spät; hätte sie mir ein Paar Tage vorher gewünscht. Und hätte es einen Notfall gegeben, hätte ich niemanden erreicht.
– Die Dusche: War leider eine Zumutung. Schimmel, kaputte Vorrichtung, an der der Duschkopf hängt, kaputte Tür: Nach dem Duschen stand das Bad unter Wasser.

La anfitriona en todo momento pendiente e hizo muy acogedora la llegada. Estaba todo muy limpio y con todo detalle. Estuvimos muy a gusto, como en casa.

Schönes Appartement, auf Rückfrage wurde auch noch fehlende Utensilien gebracht, die bei der Ankunft vergessen gegangen sind.
What could be improved: Es war in der Nacht jeweils sehr laut, morgens um 5.30 kamen jeweils eine Gruppe von Jugendlichen nach Hause.
