You know what surprised me most about Apartamento Arenal? It’s tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street – Calle Galera – that honestly feels like stepping back in time, but you’re literally a three-minute walk from the cathedral. I mean, you can hear the bells from your window, which is either charming or annoying depending on how you feel about being woken up at 8 AM (I actually loved it, but fair warning).

The building itself has that classic Sevillian architecture – thick white walls that keep things refreshingly cool even when it’s blazing outside, and these gorgeous traditional tiles in the entrance that someone clearly took care to preserve. The apartment feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, honestly. There’s real character here – wooden beams, a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the little market around the corner on Calle Sierpes, and enough space to spread out after long days wandering around the Barrio Santa Cruz. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload those inevitable cathedral photos. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night despite being right in the thick of things. Sure, you’ll hear some foot traffic and maybe late-night conversations drifting up from the street, but it’s not the kind of party noise that keeps you up – more like the gentle hum of a neighborhood that’s actually lived in.

The location is just ridiculous (in the best way). You can stumble out the front door and be at the Alcázar in five minutes, or wander over to those amazing tapas places near Plaza del Salvador without even thinking about it. And here’s something the guidebooks don’t tell you – there’s this tiny bakery two streets over that opens at 7 AM and makes these incredible pastries that’ll ruin hotel breakfast for you forever. The whole Old Town is walkable from here, but if your feet give out, the metro stop at Puerta de Jerez is close enough. Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about driving here. But honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. The 8.6 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, but it nails what actually matters when you’re exploring a city like this. It’s clean, comfortable, the check-in was smooth, and you get that authentic Seville experience without sacrificing modern conveniences. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during spring when you can open the windows and just soak in all the sounds of the neighborhood coming to life.

  The position is great, no more than 15 mins walk to any of the important sites but very quiet. The apartment was clean with a modern bathroom and plenty of storage. It was well equipped for a short stay.
  
  What could be improved: Not having a kettle, there was a coffee machine and we got hot water from that. A couple of cups were chipped and the bed was squeaky.

  Arenal apartment is a gem in the middle of Seville. Close to everything it makes it a fantastic location to go anywhere on foot without the haste of transportation. It's located a rock throw from Triana neighborhood and marketplace encircled by restaurants, cafes and other iconic place such as the riverwalk. Maria Jose, our hostess make it easier for us every step of the way with suggestions, rentals (she rented our taxi to the airport early morning) and her always attentive call requesting a feedback. A small cozy apartment that can easily accommodate three people, where all appliances work to perfection: the expresso coffee-maker and air-conditioner 5 stars. I will definitely stay there if I come back to Seville.

  Host was always reachable and help us when we needed. House location was perfect, it is walking distance for most of the attractions. House was nicely clean and has some kitchenware that you might need.

  Nice apartment in an older building, which gave it charm and great location near Plaza Nueva and the historic center.
  
  The main room had the living room, dining area and kitchen. There was a separate bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom were remodeled and there was a washer in the unit.
  
  The apartment is in a quiet street/alley so few cars go by, but sometimes, late at night there are loud people walking by….both the living area and the bedroom windows face this alley.
  
  What could be improved: The main issues that I had was that all doors were squeaky, the bed was also very squeaky, so it was noisy if the other person was sleeping. Also the bathroom walls had many areas of paint peeling off. The closet in the master bedroom was old and not renovated, so the drawers were not as tidy as the rest of the apartment. Overall an average stay.

  I liked the location of the apartment, it was clean and not noisy.
  
  What could be improved: The bed springs are awful, they’re really squeaky. Horrible! It really effects your sleep. Its really cold in the apartment which is such a big minus, if we came here a few months before we would’ve froze probably. There is only one working heater, which cant heat the rooms that well because of the height of the rooms. The toilet was dripping and that kept us up during the night.
