You know what struck me first about Apartamento San Bernardo? It’s tucked away on Calle Tentudía in this residential pocket of Nervión that most tourists completely miss – which, honestly, is exactly what makes it so appealing. I mean, you’re still in Seville, but you’re living like the locals do, not stuck in some touristy bubble near the cathedral where every other person is holding a selfie stick.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home that they’ve opened up to travelers, not some sterile hotel room that gets flipped 300 times a year. Kainga Homes clearly gets this – they’ve kept all the character of a proper Spanish flat while sneaking in those little touches that make you feel taken care of. The kitchen actually works (I’m talking full-size fridge, decent coffee maker, the works), which is huge if you want to grab groceries from the Mercadona down the street and eat breakfast like a human being instead of paying hotel prices for mediocre croissants. And the beds? Look, I’m picky about mattresses, but I slept better here than I have in plenty of five-star places.

What really sold me on the location was how easy everything became once I figured out the neighborhood rhythm. There’s this little bar about two blocks over where the owner, Miguel, makes these incredible montaditos – locals pack the place around 9 PM, and honestly, the jamón ibérico there rivals what you’ll pay three times as much for in the old town. The Nervión metro stop is maybe a seven-minute walk, so getting to the center is actually faster than it would be from most hotels, and you skip all the narrow, cobblestone streets that’ll destroy your luggage wheels. Plus – and this matters more than you’d think – the neighborhood goes quiet around 11 PM, so you can actually sleep with the windows open and catch that evening breeze without dealing with drunk tourists singing flamenco songs at 2 AM.

I’ll be straight with you though: this isn’t the place if you need someone at a front desk 24/7 or want your towels changed daily. Check-in is smooth, but it’s that modern key-code situation, and you’re pretty much on your own after that. Some people love the independence; others might feel a bit lost. The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s genuinely excellent at what it does, but it’s doing something specific. If you want to experience Seville like you’re borrowing a friend’s place rather than just visiting, and if you appreciate being in a real neighborhood where you can buy olive oil at normal prices and practice your Spanish with shopkeepers who aren’t used to tourists, then this apartment delivers exactly that. Just don’t expect a concierge to book your flamenco show – though honestly, Miguel at that bar I mentioned can probably point you toward better options anyway.

  The apartment was very well-thought out, with plenty of shampoo, soap, charging ports, and shelf space. Great attention to detail. It was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The host, Javier, did a great job communicating with us before and during the stay. We also loved the location, just 10 minutes to the city center.

  Good location within a maximum of 10-15 minutes walking distance from the main tourist atractioms.
  . Bathroom ok, modern apartment. I found coffee capsules and enough kitchen utensils. San Bernardo train station nearby.
  
  What could be improved: the bedroom communicates with the living room, I think the refrigerator door does not close tightly. the kitchen sink faucet needs better fixing.

  Check in went smoothly. The apartment's size is just enough for 2 people. It is located next to a school however you won't be bothered at all. I could barely hear any noise from outside.
  The place was very well equipped with everything we needed.
  It was a pleasant stay and would easily choose it again the next time.

  The the host was extremely responsive and had built a guide to book tours and main attractions of the city. He also checked in with us time and again to see if we needed anything
  
  What could be improved: We loved everything but provided feedback as we didn't get any Soap bottles and only received tons of shampoo bottles instead which didn't help us. However it was due to the cleaning company and not the host.

  Posizione ottima, 15 minuti a piedi dalla cattedrale.
  c'era tutto il necessario per cucinare e ma giare. Letto comodo. Bagno senza finestre ma con ventola per aspirare odori e umidità.
  Asciugamani in abbondanza, saponi sia per i piatti che per la persona.
  Armadio ampio e spazioso.
  Televisione smart dove poter accedere al tuo Netflix o prime account.

  Appartement moderne, bien équipé et dans rue calme. Accès impersonnel mais très efficace par SMS ou internet. Proche place d'Espagne et petit supermarché.
  
  What could be improved: Vue directe sur la cour d'un collège depuis la chambre (assez bonne insonorisation cependant) ! Un peu loin des commerces de bouche et de l'animation.
