You know what caught me off guard about Apartamento Sauceda 7? The street itself is so narrow that when you first walk down it, you’re wondering if your taxi driver actually knows where he’s going. But that’s the thing about staying right in Seville’s old town – these little cobblestone streets that barely fit two people walking side by side are exactly where you want to be. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the cathedral, and the way the morning light hits those ochre building walls… honestly, it’s worth getting up early for.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Spanish grandmother decided to rent out her place after watching too many design shows – but in the best possible way. It’s got that perfect mix of traditional Andalusian charm with actually functional modern touches. The bathroom doesn’t make you choose between hot water and decent water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think), and the kitchen is small but totally workable if you want to grab some jamón and cheese from the market around the corner. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, despite being smack in the middle of everything. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional late-night reveler stumbling over the uneven stones, but it’s not like staying near the university area where things get properly rowdy.

The location is honestly ridiculous – and I mean that in the best way. You can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing, but more importantly, you’re in an actual neighborhood where people live. There’s this tiny bar called El Rinconcillo just a few streets over (locals will tell you it’s one of the oldest in Spain), and watching the morning routine of residents heading to work while you’re sipping coffee gives you that insider feeling you can’t get from hotel districts. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just genuinely comfortable and perfectly placed. Only real downside? Good luck getting a car down Calle Sauceda if you’re driving, but honestly, why would you want to drive in old town Seville anyway? The whole point is wandering these medieval streets and getting pleasantly lost before stumbling onto some incredible little plaza you never would have found otherwise.

  Very fully equipped kitchen, aside from all the cookery they also have salt, which is great if you want to prepare simple breakfast. It is right next to a carrefour supermarket. The whole apartment is super clean.
  
  What could be improved: If you are arriving past the check in time, at the minute they don’t have an automated system to facilitate that – but the host has been very accommodative with our late arrival and made arrangements for it.

  Perfect location. It was easy to walk to all the main city’s attractions. It was good to have a supermarket next to the flat.
  
  What could be improved: Having window facing the internal courtyard, it was always dark and if the windows were open was noisy.

  Rocio was extremely helpful in arranging for my arrival which was delayed. The place was in a perfect location in walking distance to everything you would want to explore in Sevilla.
  
  What could be improved: There can be a lot of coming and going from the other properties in the building which could disrupt your sleep.

  What could be improved: The bedroom window blind let the light shine in when someone walked by outside the window as a bright light came on when someone walked by. Happened many times during the night. Blackout curtains are needed

  What could be improved: On arrival no one was outside the apartment to meet us, she was inside the apartment waiting, but we were outside the building and did not know which apartment. She should have been outside at the agreed time.

  What could be improved: Nothing really, except I didn’t discover the roll down outer shutter on the main bedroom window until the last day, it would keep out the light and noise as people pass by the window and a courtesy light turns on.
