You know what really caught me off guard about Apartamentos Altamira? I’d been walking these narrow cobblestone streets in Seville’s old quarter for about twenty minutes – getting properly lost, honestly – when I stumbled onto Ximenes de Enciso street. It’s this quiet little residential stretch that feels completely removed from the tourist chaos, but you’re actually just a few minutes’ walk from the cathedral. The building itself has that classic Andalusian charm without trying too hard, if that makes sense. White walls, traditional tiles, wrought iron balconies – but it doesn’t feel like a theme park version of Seville.
The apartments themselves are actually proper spaces, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re bumping into furniture every time you turn around. I mean, you’ve got a real kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), which honestly saved me a fortune because eating out in the old town every single meal gets expensive fast. The air conditioning works – and trust me, if you’re visiting in summer, this matters more than you think. Some friends stayed in a supposedly charming place nearby without proper AC and barely slept for three nights. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which I mention because I had to jump on a few work calls and didn’t have any of those awkward “can you hear me now” moments. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re in the heart of everything, but Ximenes de Enciso doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic that some of the main tourist streets do. You’ll hear the occasional flamenco guitar drifting from a nearby bar, but it’s more atmospheric than disruptive.
Getting around from here is pretty ideal – you can walk to the Alcázar in about eight minutes, maybe ten if you stop to take photos (which you will). The Metropol Parasol is close enough that you’ll probably wander over there for sunset views, and honestly, the whole Jewish Quarter is right at your doorstep. There’s this little tapas place called Bar Alfalfa just around the corner that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the locals pack it every evening around seven. That’s your sign right there. Parking can be tricky in this part of town – actually, let me be honest, it’s a nightmare – so if you’re driving, ask about their parking recommendations when you book. The staff knows the area well and can point you toward the nearest garage that won’t cost you a small fortune. I ended up leaving my car there for three days and just walking everywhere, which turned out to be perfect anyway. The 8.5 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not luxury resort territory, but it’s exactly what you want for exploring Seville properly.

Everything. The AC was super cold. Especially in the room. Is was located perfectly with a mini mart close by and a restaurant downstairs. Very spacious, the beds were ahhhh-mazing. The STAFFFFF!!! So helpful, communication is prompt.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. It is above a bar so outside noise is expected.
The staff took our concerns seriously and got back straight away when I complained about the noise disturbance from guests nextdoor.
What could be improved: The walls are thin and so there was a noise nuisance from the guests in the next apartment. I had to bang on the wall in the early hours. Very well equipped and clean apartments in the most perfect location, very close to many tapas bars and restaurants and within walking distance to the main sights in Seville. Hosts were very helpful who gave us lots of recommendations for activities and tapas bars. Pleasant stay, would highly recommend.

Very clean and central property with great communication from owner. Access codes to enter. 5mins walk to Cathedral area. Great bars and restaurants outside the property. Excellent in every way and highly recommend.
