Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Apartamentos Boutique Vida? The building itself – it’s tucked into this narrow street called Susona that honestly, I would’ve walked right past if I wasn’t looking for it. But that’s kind of the charm of staying in Seville’s old town, isn’t it? You’re literally living inside the historic quarter, and I mean properly inside it, not just on the tourist-heavy edges near the cathedral.
The apartments themselves are… well, they’re trying to be boutique, and mostly succeeding. Mine had this interesting mix of modern touches against what were obviously very old walls – you can actually see where they’ve worked around the original architecture rather than fighting it. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious (always a win in European old towns), and I appreciated that they’d invested in proper shower pressure. Honestly, after walking around Seville’s cobblestones all day, that matters more than fancy toiletries. The kitchenette was functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the little Coviran around the corner, though let’s be real – you’re in Seville, so you’ll probably end up eating out most nights anyway. One thing to note: if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room facing away from the street. Susona might be narrow, but Sevillanos love their late-night conversations, especially on weekends.
What I really liked was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood – not just the obvious stuff like “the cathedral is that way,” but useful details like which tapas bars locals actually go to (there’s this tiny place on Calle Mateos Gago that they recommended, and I never would’ve found it otherwise). The location is pretty perfect if you want to walk everywhere important but still feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than a generic hotel. You’re maybe five minutes from the cathedral, but you can also wander down these impossibly narrow alleys and stumble onto little plazas that don’t make it into guidebooks. Parking is… well, forget about it unless you enjoy medieval-width streets, but there’s a public garage about ten minutes’ walk away if you’re driving. The 7.8 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does what it promises without any nasty surprises. I’d definitely stay here again, particularly in spring when you can actually enjoy wandering around without melting into the pavement.

The location is great. Lots of space and great terrace. If you’re after a quieter stay then be aware that as in heart of Old Town there will be noise late at night when the Plaza is cleaned and bottle bins emptied etc.
What could be improved: I wasn’t told that we needed to check in at the Hotel Halo so spent some time waiting outside what turned out to be the wrong apartment! Only one patio chair on the terrace so we took one out from the apartment (up spiral stairs!). A washing up bowl would have been helpful as no plug in sink.Stephanie from United Kingdom – 9 August 2024 (7/10)
The location is excellent and that is what you are paying for.
The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was lovely.
Clean.
What could be improved: It was a little tired in real life.
The outside space was a little tatty and doesn’t look like it’s taken care of.
2 glasses when there were 3 of us.
Would have been great to have access to the hotel pool for a supplement.
Charge of €20 to leave luggage after checkout for a few hours.Sandra from United States – 2 August 2024 (9/10)
Location was perfect. It in a historic building that has been respectfully converted into apartments.
What could be improved: We couldn’t get the wifi to work however the staff were super helpful. As we were there a short period of time we didn’t make much of an effort to get it working.Rikke from Denmark – 18 July 2024 (9/10)
Perfect placement. Nicely decorated apartment that has most of the facilities you need
What could be improved: Noise from the street and the apartment above can easily be heardJeanne from France – 11 February 2024 (9/10)
Perfect location
What could be improved: Lovely terrace, feels a shame that it’s not decorated enough with better outdoor furniture and more plants.Rehana from United Kingdom – 13 August 2023 (8/10)
The location was great, right in the heart of the Santa Cruz district. 5 minutes walk from the Giralda.
Very quiet by night. No disturbances from outside.
What could be improved: There was a really bad smell coming from the drains, this could have been to do with the heat outside, it was coming through the bathroom drains in the apartment.
We reported this to the staff team and maintenance were sent out promptly the next day to replace a pipe that seemed to fix the problem.Robert from Australia – 11 July 2023 (8/10)

The staff were incredible. Especially the very tall man named Carlos! We had an issue with our toilet, and he had it sorted for us right away. He made excellent recommendations, and sent us to some really great places off the tourist path, which we loved.
The location is fabulous and we loved sitting on the rooftop patio, sipping cava, and watching the sunset. The bed was very comfy.
What could be improved: Because we had an apartment, it would have been great to have some dish soap and a sponge for when we did dishes. We also didn’t get Wi-Fi in the bedroom which was a little inconvenient.Vladimir from United Kingdom – 8 January 2023 (8/10)
excellent terraces on 2 levels with great views
What could be improved: would have been nice to have some extra cutlery – not 3 forks but at least 4. A couple of welcome coffee capsules and olive oil would have been a nice touch. Too pricey for what it offered.
