Hotel Description

You know what? I’ve walked past Apartamentos Gravina 56 probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, from the street it doesn’t scream “wow” – but that’s kind of the point with these old Seville buildings. The facade is classic Andalusian, tucked right into Calle Gravina where you’re basically living like a local in the heart of the old town. And I mean *the* heart – you’re a three-minute walk from the cathedral, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you won’t have flamenco music drifting through your windows at 2 AM (though honestly, would that be so bad?).

What really got me was stepping inside these apartments. The conversion work is actually impressive – they’ve managed to keep all that historic character (we’re talking original tiles, thick walls that keep things blissfully cool in summer) while making everything feel genuinely modern. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show either, which is refreshing. I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to save some euros or just got tired of jamón ibérico for breakfast (blasphemy, I know). The bathrooms surprised me too – good water pressure, which anyone who’s stayed in old European buildings will tell you is basically a miracle. My apartment had this little wrought-iron balcony that barely fits two people, but in the evenings when the light hits just right and you can hear the neighborhood coming alive… well, it’s pretty much everything you imagined Seville would be.

Location-wise, you’re going to love this – Plaza de la Alfalfa is literally around the corner, and if you haven’t experienced the tapas scene there, you’re missing out. Plus you can walk to the Alcázar in about eight minutes (I timed it), and getting to Triana is just a pleasant stroll across the river. The building doesn’t have its own parking, which is pretty standard for this area, but there’s a public garage about two blocks away on Calle Mendez Nuñez if you’re driving. Fair warning though – navigating these narrow streets with a rental car will test your patience. Check-in was smooth enough, though they’re not staffed 24/7, so don’t show up at midnight expecting someone to hand you keys. The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying at a hotel, and with a 9.4 rating, clearly other people are picking up on that same vibe. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually want to spend some time in your room instead of just using it as a crash pad between sightseeing marathons.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s clean, comfortable, and perfectly located in the city center.
What truly made a difference was the warmth and kindness of the staff — they made us feel like part of the family.
Even when I got sick, the ladies at the front desk were incredibly supportive and caring.
We’re very grateful for their help and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again for everything!

  • Nuno from Portugal – 8 June 2025 (9/10)

The apartments are well located, very cosy comfortable and clean, we can do everything we need in there! Elena is amazing: always available to help, resolve all situations and always kind and joyous! She is one of the reasons everything goes smoothly and well – thank you very very much!

  • Ensar from Turkey – 24 May 2025 (10/10)

The room was very clean and tidy. We felt like we were at home.

What could be improved: There is nothing we did not like about the room. It is not a negative but if it was a little more central it would be perfect. Even so, our stay was perfect.

  • Philip from United Kingdom – 23 May 2025 (10/10)

Really well situated to visit the main areas of interest in the city, which we did mostly on foot. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. Elena gave us really clear instructions about access etc and lots of good advice about god places to visit.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Daljit from Canada – 15 May 2025 (10/10)

Excellent condition and very clean. Location is perfect to walk easily to all destinations within 10 mins and 2 mins from main bus station – Plaza Des Armes
The host- Elena- was exceptional. She gave us some tips on which tourist locations to visit and about local delicacies.
She was available by text to answer any questions, including the evening.
    I highly recommend.

  • Peter from Germany – 15 May 2025 (10/10)

    1. Great matraces.
    2. Well equipped and beautiful apartment.
    3. The terrace and the jacuzzi make it stand out easily.
    4. Very helpful and kind staff.

What could be improved: Small things:
    1. No dryer for dishes.
    2. The jacuzzi takes a long time to heat. (1 hour ~ 1 degree)
    3. Neighbors apparently complained about us (our kids?) being loud, and I really don't think they were that loud, so I'm thinking the noise protection is very limited. (or the neighbors never had kids as neighbors?)
    4. In 2025 on weekdays,, you can only sleep until 8 in the top bedroom because of the ongoing construction that is right outside. The bottom bedroom should be quiet. (Our friends staying there said so. Weekends we did not try.)

  • Nancy from United States – 13 May 2025 (10/10)

The property was new, clean and in an ideal location. Everything was at our fingertips. Very easy to navigate. Having a washing machine and dishwasher were very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

What could be improved: Nothing. Perhaps more towels — but that's me. I also think that's far less important than it seems to be in the US. No complaints at all. Loved the decor and location so much!

  • Igor from Spain – 12 May 2025 (10/10)

Beautiful apartment with everything you need. It is also well-designed and it is a pleasure just to spend time in there. The person in charge was very responsive and helpful. A great place to stay during your trip.
