Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Apartamentos Mariscal? The building itself – it’s got that perfectly weathered Sevillian facade that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something authentically local rather than another tourist trap. And honestly, being right on Calle Mariscal puts you in this sweet spot where you’re deep enough in the old town to feel the real pulse of Seville, but you’re not fighting crowds every time you step outside your door.
The apartments themselves are way more spacious than what you’d typically get in the historic center – I mean, most places around here squeeze you into these tiny converted rooms, but these actually feel like, well, apartments. The 4-star rating isn’t just for show either; there’s proper attention to detail in the finishes and furnishings, though it’s done in a understated way that fits the neighborhood rather than screaming “luxury hotel.” What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, which is honestly surprising given that you’re a five-minute walk from Plaza de Armas and maybe ten from the Cathedral. The thick walls of these old buildings really do their job – you get the authentic architecture without the street noise carrying up all night.
Location-wise, this is where staying here gets really smart. You’re positioned perfectly to duck down to the Guadalquivir riverfront when the afternoon heat gets brutal (and trust me, it will), plus you’re close enough to Triana across the bridge that you can easily hit the real tapas spots where locals actually eat. The Mercado de Triana is maybe a fifteen-minute walk, and that’s where you want to go for proper jamón and cheese anyway – not the tourist places near the cathedral that charge double. I also loved that there’s actually decent parking nearby, which… if you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car through Seville’s old town, you know that’s not a given. The 8.4 rating feels about right – it’s solidly good without being perfect, and honestly, the few minor quirks (like the Wi-Fi being a bit spotty in some rooms) are the kind of thing you expect in a historic building. What you don’t always expect is this level of comfort and space right in the heart of everything that matters in Seville.

Location was perfect in the middle of the old town. A couple of minutes walk away from attractions, restaurants and bars.
What could be improved: If I was being picky, I would comment that some of the furniture and bathroom was a bit ‘tired’, but for the price and location you can’t really complain.Anne from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (9/10)
Very convenient location.
Very clear instructions for arrival and within the flatAngela from United Kingdom – 13 January 2025 (9/10)
Just a few minutes walk away from the cathedral. Not easy to find at first as it has a different name on the outside door plaque but Google maps takes you to the door. Clean and comfortable. I would recommend

Location, entry, access and security, useful and functioning facilities.
What could be improved: A little small, slight sewage odour coming through open windows, could be from unit complex, could've been dog wees in streets…Rebecca from United Kingdom – 4 June 2024 (8/10)
It’s located in Santa Cruz district which is beautiful. Full of history and gorgeous architecture. The bedroom was tight but the bed was very comfortable. Loved the shutters as I had a brilliant few nights sleep

The location at the border of the old town is walkable distance to all the sites and also close to bus stops if needed. The flat was clean and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay including the kitchen. The sofa bed was comfy, slept on it for 5 nights. Responsive host who gave clear detailed instructions
What could be improved: Bring your own toiletries as it's a home not a hotelDebbie from Australia – 23 March 2024 (9/10)
Fantastic central location in Santa Cruz.
Apartment well appointed with outstanding sound proofing.Klaus from Finland – 20 February 2024 (9/10)
It was easy to arrive at the apartment after receiving the key codes in advance. Both the front door and the apartment door work with number codes, which made it easier when we moved around separately. The apartment was cozy and very clean. Two air heat pumps handle both heating and air conditioning well. The location was excellent. Beautiful, quiet area but right near the cathedral. Communication with Juanfran was quick and easy.
What could be improved: The dishes would require a bit of updating/supplementing.
