Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Apartamentos Recaredo 7? It’s tucked right into the heart of Seville’s old town, but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a tourist trap. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Cathedral – you can actually hear the bells from some of the apartments – but the street itself has this authentic neighborhood vibe that most visitors never experience.

The building is one of those gorgeous converted townhouses that Seville does so well, with traditional Andalusian tiles and ironwork that’s clearly been maintained by someone who actually cares. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to modernize the apartments without losing that old-world character. The kitchens are properly equipped (not those sad hotel kitchenettes), and honestly, the air conditioning is a godsend during those brutal July afternoons when the temperature hits 40°C and everyone’s hiding indoors. The apartments vary quite a bit – some have little balconies overlooking the narrow street, others face interior courtyards that stay surprisingly cool. If you’re a light sleeper, definitely ask about the courtyard-facing ones, because Calle Recaredo can get lively on weekend nights (though it’s not party-central like some streets closer to the river).

Here’s the thing about the location that booking photos can’t really capture – you’re positioned perfectly between the major sights and the actual places where locals go. Walk five minutes toward Plaza de Armas and you’re in full tourist mode, but head the other direction toward Calle Feria and you’ll find those tiny tapas bars where the bartender might not speak English but the jamón ibérico is incredible. Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about it. But the Puerta de Jerez metro stop is close enough, and honestly, once you’re here you won’t want to drive anyway – everything worth seeing is walkable, even if it means navigating those wonderfully confusing medieval streets. The staff runs the place more like a small guesthouse than a corporate hotel, which means check-in is personal but not always lightning-fast. They’ll give you genuine recommendations though, not just the standard tourist circuit. During Semana Santa or Feria, this place books up months ahead (and prices reflect it), but if you can snag it during shoulder season, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real Seville instead of just visiting it.

  The location was great. Bus stops near by outside. C4 bus takes you straight to the Bus station. The apartment was really comfortable. We were in a 2 bedroom on the first floor. The bedrooms were at the back of the apartment and it was extremely quiet. Plenty of hot water, with a nice shower. Washing machine worked fine with drying facilities. Cafes, restaurants and shops all very close.

  Great location! Preety much 10-20 minutes walk to all attractions. $15 uber ride to airport. Apartment is spacious and well equipped. Host is very lovely and available via messages 24/7. TV has netflix and amazon prime etc. Our 4 nights stay was so smooth and relaxing

  It’s really near the center, the supermarket is in less than 5 minutes and the apartment is big enough for a couple. We truly enjoyed our time there!! The only thing is that the kitchen is very little and the dishwasher can’t be opened really easily, but the rest was pretty good!!

  So cozy and quiet.
  Loved the atmosphere of the flat and immediately felt at home there.
  Rooms were large and well laid out.
  Bedrooms temps nice and cool even without a/c in the heatwave.
  Just a 10 to 15 minute stroll to the cathedral and Alcazar.
  Would definitely return. 👍🏻
  
  What could be improved: A previous guest had broken the door of the washing machine, and thus, it was unusable.
  I WhatsApped Rosa, and she responded immediately to say we could use a machine in another flat next morning.
  Sadly, this didn't suit our timetable, BUT I did find the excellent Speed Queen Laundromat just 3 minutes walk away, so all was well. 👍🏻

  The location is superb, just a few minutes walking from the palace and the cathedral. Good restaurant nearby and supermarkets. Through the window a nice street view. The room is spacey and in a historic building which i like.
  
  What could be improved: The sound proof is not so good, especially when there is a event on the street downstairs.
