You know what? I’ve walked past Apartamentos RG Arenal II on Calle Padre Marchena dozens of times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, I always wondered what those apartments were like inside. The building itself has that classic Sevillian feel – you’re literally in the heart of the old town here, which means cobblestones outside your door and the kind of narrow streets where you can practically touch both sides if you stretch your arms out. The thing about staying in apartment 6 specifically is that you get this perfect balance of being right in the thick of things without the constant tourist foot traffic that hammers some of the streets closer to the cathedral.

What really struck me about this place is how it actually feels like living in Seville rather than just visiting it. I mean, you’ve got a proper kitchen setup, which is honestly a game-changer when you’re staying more than a couple nights – there’s a little Mercadona just a few minutes’ walk away, and the morning routine of grabbing fresh bread from the panadería around the corner becomes this surprisingly satisfying ritual. The apartment itself has that slightly quirky charm that comes with older Sevillian buildings (the bathroom’s compact, let’s be real, but everything works), and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during my July stay when the temperatures were pushing 40 degrees. One thing I appreciated – and this might sound weird – is that the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the street below, which can be an issue in some old town rentals.

The location is honestly what makes this place special though. You’re about a seven-minute walk to Plaza de Armas if you need to catch a bus, maybe ten minutes to the cathedral if you take the scenic route through the smaller plazas (which you should, especially in the evening when the light hits those orange trees just right). What I love is that you’re close enough to everything that matters but tucked away on a street that still has that residential feel – you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, kids playing football in the tiny plaza nearby. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about driving here, but the Puerta de Jerez metro stop isn’t too far if you’re coming from the airport. The 7.8 rating seems about right to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s solid, comfortable, and gives you that authentic Seville experience without breaking the bank. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own key to a little corner of one of Europe’s most beautiful historic centers.

    Location, location, location. Very close to the center of Sevilla… 10min walk to the cathedral. Grocery store nearby. Lots of restaurants and shops.

    The apartment is great for groups of friends and families. The inner courtyard is quaint. There's a living room, dining room, kitchen on the first level. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs. There's 1.5 bathrooms.

    The host is also very accommodating and allowed us to check in early

    What could be improved: The bathroom could use an upgrade. Low water pressure in the shower, no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it's humid, no hand soap in the half bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great.

    Overall this is a nice place in the old town. There was nothing exceptional, but the impression was surely positive.

    What could be improved: Most of the doors had some issues, which resulted unwanted noises. Just a little extra maintenance is needed. There were some other minor flaws, but nothing serious, which would ruin your stay.

    Lovely private, clean and spacious apartment. Great location, everything accessible. Large rooms, comfortable beds. Hosts easy to contact and provided through Ian’s helpful information. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Seville.

    The location was amazing and this is the only positive I can say.

    What could be improved: Communication was very very poor.
    It is actually a duplex (part of an old house) so space was devided into two level and it is very tight bed rooms.
    House was dirty( toilet not flushed, utensils was dirty (they send some one to clean them after I complained)and sheet smell was not pleasant.
    Powder room sink was clogged and they repair it after I ask also.
    They got into the apartment while we are out with out asking permission.
    They agree to rent me a parking spot for 3 days and I parked one day and while I am out,they rented the spot to someone else and when I came at night I have to search for a parking and I paid extra for that and they. Just said we are sorry. I left Ed them the 15 euro for the one day parking with photo as they ask. Then they said I have to pay 30 , I explained that it is one day they said yes but 2 cars ,I explained that it was one car then they said we are sorry we thought u are someone else. I got so irritated from them..
    AC was so cold and the sheets was smelling so we can't cover well and I got sick.
    Not recommended at all.
    I ask booking to cancel after first day with no feedback from them, 😔
