Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Apartamentos RG Plaza de España – the building looked pretty standard from the street on Avenida de la Borbolla. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside.

The location is actually brilliant, and I mean that in a way most visitors won’t realize until they’ve been walking around Seville for a few days. You’re right in the Sur district, which puts you close enough to the tourist stuff but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds of people taking selfies outside your window at 7 AM. The Plaza de España is obviously the big draw nearby – and yeah, it’s gorgeous, especially early morning when the light hits those tiles just right – but what I really loved was being able to walk to the María Luisa Park whenever I needed to escape the heat. There’s this little café on the corner of Borbolla that the locals hit up for their morning coffee, and the woman behind the counter started recognizing me after three days, which always makes you feel like you’re doing something right.

The apartment itself (I stayed in what I think was número 2) surprised me with how much space there was. I mean, we’re talking about a 4-star place, so my expectations were reasonable, but the kitchen was actually functional – not just some tiny corner with a mini-fridge and a hot plate. The bathroom had this rainfall shower head that, well, it’s not going to change your life, but after walking around Seville in July heat, it definitely hit the spot. One thing that really stood out was how quiet it was at night. You’d think being on a main avenue would mean traffic noise, but the windows must be pretty solid because I slept like a rock every night. The Wi-Fi was reliable too – I had to jump on a few work calls and never had issues, though that’s probably not why you’re going to Seville.

What really sold me on this place was the little details that you don’t notice until you’ve been traveling for a while and staying in places that cut corners. The towels were actually thick, there were enough outlets near the bed (seriously, why is this so rare?), and someone clearly thought about the lighting – you can actually read without squinting or having harsh overhead lights blazing down on you. Check-in was smooth, parking… well, you’re in Seville, so good luck with that anywhere, but there are some streets nearby where you can usually find something if you’re patient. The 9.2 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re spending your days wandering around one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.

  This apartment was very modern and clean, everything that we needed was provided. It is very spacious with plenty of room in the lounge/dining area, and the beds were all comfortable.
  Location….although there is a bus to and from the bus station, we took a lovely walk through Seville to get there (40 minutes) and an easy walk under 20 minutes to get to the centre of Seville to visit the attractions.

  Lokalizacja dla nas była słaba – ale to był nasz wybór. Blisko placu hiszpańskiego, ale stosunkowo daleko od ścisłego centrum (około 40 min pieszo). Ale sam apartament był bardzo wygodny, duży i wygodny dla naszej rodziny, bardzo wygodne łóżka i łazienki. Było w nim wszystko co potrzebne, również kuchni (pralka, zmywarka) i fajne, duże kieliszki do wina
