You know what struck me first about Apartamentos RG Puerta de Jerez? The fact that you’re literally staying above one of Seville’s most iconic spots – and I mean literally. The Puerta de Jerez square sits right below, which sounds like it could be a nightmare for noise, but honestly, it’s more charming than chaotic. You get this authentic Sevillian buzz without the full-on tourist mayhem you’d expect.

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s well-loved family place rather than a sterile hotel room. I mean, it’s not luxury – we’re talking 3-star comfort here – but there’s something refreshing about having actual space to spread out. The penthouse location (that’s what “atico” means, for those brushing up on their Spanish) gives you these unexpected rooftop views that nobody mentions in the standard descriptions. You can actually see the cathedral spires from some angles, and during sunset, well… let’s just say your Instagram will thank you. The kitchenette situation is pretty decent too – nothing fancy, but functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the little Mercadona down the street instead of eating out every meal.

What really sells this place, though, is the location knowledge you gain just by staying here. You’re a five-minute walk from the Real Alcázar (skip the main entrance crowds and approach from the Patio de Banderas side, trust me), and you can duck into the Santa Cruz neighborhood’s tiny streets whenever the main tourist areas get overwhelming. The Metro stop at Puerta de Jerez means you can actually get to places like Triana or even the airport without dealing with Seville’s… let’s call it “creative” taxi situation. Plus, there’s something satisfying about coming home to a quiet apartment after a long day of cathedral-climbing and tapas-hopping, rather than dealing with hotel lobby small talk. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you realize this isn’t trying to be a fancy boutique experience – it’s just a really solid, well-located place to crash that happens to put you right in the heart of everything that matters in Seville.

  Location amazing. Apartment looked onto Cathedral which was lovely.
  
  What could be improved: While I was aware it was a roof top apartment, I would have liked a light to come on when you walked through the door opening on to the roof of the building. Not really suitable for very elderly.

  Zaujímavé ubytovanie priamo v centre. S krásnym výhladom. Ľahká dostupnosť na verejnú dopravu.

  La ubicación es muy buena. Además, tenía de todo. Como decía otra persona, la azotea, con esas vistas, es un plus. En invierno está expuesto al frío, pero el aire acondicionado calienta rápidamente las estancias.
  Nos permitieron salir una hora más tarde, porque no había nuevos inquilinos después…

  What could be improved: Las fundas de los colchones de las camas. Entiendo totalmente su necesidad, pero esos plásticos se cuartean y envejecen mal. Al moverte, suenan como cuando quitas el papel a un caramelo.

  Krásné ubytování primo v centru, z okna pokoje jsou výhledy na katedrálu i zahrady Alcazaru. Apartman je pohodlný a dobře dostupný, navíc i veřejné garáže jsou primo proti domu.
