Hotel Description

Look, I’ve walked past Apartamentos San Pedro dozens of times on Calle Almirante Apodaca – it’s one of those narrow streets in the old quarter that tourists usually miss because they’re too busy hunting for the cathedral. But honestly, that’s exactly why this place works so well. You’re literally in the heart of everything (I mean, you can hear the horse carriages clip-clopping by in the morning), but it feels like you’ve found this little secret that the tour groups haven’t discovered yet.

The building itself has that worn Sevillian charm – you know, the kind where the stonework tells stories and the wrought iron balconies actually look like they belong there instead of being slapped on for show. When I first stayed here, what struck me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. Sure, you’ll catch some evening chatter from people wandering back from tapas, but nothing like the chaos you get near the main plazas. The apartments are bigger than you’d expect for old town Seville – and trust me, space is usually at a premium around here. They’ve managed to keep the original character (those thick walls are a godsend in summer) while actually making things functional for travelers who need more than just a bed.

What I really appreciate is that they haven’t tried to turn this into some sterile hotel experience. The check-in feels personal, and the staff actually knows the neighborhood – like, they’ll tell you which corner bakery opens earliest or which route to take to avoid the morning market crowds on Calle Feria. Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about that. But the thing is, once you’re here, you don’t need a car anyway. The Alameda de Hércules (great for evening drinks) is a five-minute walk, the Mercado de la Encarnación is even closer, and you can reach the Giralda without breaking a sweat. I’ve had friends stay here during Semana Santa – usually a nightmare for accommodation – and they managed to watch some of the processions right from the street. The 8.2 rating makes sense because it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just genuinely good at what it does. You get the apartment-style freedom to grab groceries and eat in sometimes (those August afternoons when it’s too hot to think about restaurant hunting), but you’re also surrounded by some of the best small bars in the city when you want to venture out.

Location was great! Perfect space for our family of 5. Both bathrooms and showers were great. We were able to watch one procession from our balcony upon arrival during Semana Santa. We used the tea kettle which was nice, we didn't cook in kitchen we were there 2 nights. Heaters in rooms kept us warm as the weather turned on us and was cold and rained. Plenty of outlets and nightstands. Liked the mirror in the front bedroom to get ready while others showered. Beds were comfortable, we slept great. Bring a sound machine and earplugs just in case. Check in was easy and communication with host was great. No elevator but we knew this coming in. We would stay here again!

What could be improved: I was not a fan of accessing our door with a key pad and no interior locks but may not be an issue for others. House keeper did come in before check out when we were still in room. Because of the rain our bathroom smelled but there is a window to let air in.
