Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and Apartamentos Setas Center honestly surprised me. When I first walked up to Calle Regina – which is basically this narrow street that feels completely hidden from the tourist chaos – I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building itself has that understated Sevillian charm, you know? Not flashy, but solid in a way that makes you think it’s been here forever (even though the apartments are clearly renovated to modern standards).

What really got me was the location, and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the cathedral, but somehow you’re on this quiet residential street where actual Sevillians live. I could hear church bells in the morning – not annoying, just… atmospheric – and the sound of people heading to work with their coffee. The Metropol Parasol (those giant wooden mushroom things everyone calls Las Setas) is right there, which is actually perfect because tourists flock there during the day, but evenings it’s peaceful and locals use it as a meeting spot. Plus, if you need groceries or want to grab tapas without the tourist markup, there’s this little market area just behind the mushrooms that most visitors completely miss.

The apartments themselves are well, they’re proper apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be bigger than they are. I had a one-bedroom unit with a tiny balcony that looked out onto the street – nothing fancy, but I loved sitting there in the evening with a beer, watching the neighborhood wind down. The kitchen actually works (shocking, I know), and they stock it with real dishes and decent cookware. The Wi-Fi was solid, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely, and the air conditioning didn’t sound like a freight train, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed in Andalusia. Honestly, the whole setup felt more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel, but with fresh towels and someone to call if something breaks. Check-in was smooth – they actually met me at the building instead of making me hunt around for some mysterious key box. The only minor thing is that parking can be tricky since you’re in the old town, but there’s a public garage about five minutes away, and honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re there. Everything worth seeing is walkable, and the stuff that isn’t, well, the bus system actually works pretty well from this part of town.

  The location was great, the appartment was very clean and the beds in the bedroom very confortable. Very good value for money.
  
  What could be improved: Not knowing in advance that we would only get the code to enter once the appartment was ready. This made me nervous as the morning of our stay was going on. Happily, our host reassured me when I asked the question. Maybe it would be good to precise this in the description sent. We knew we would get the full instructions on the day though.

  Great location and convenient way to get to the apartment. Apartment 4, on the 1st floor, has a French balcony and a partial view of the Seville mushroom.

  Excellent location. Clean. Easy to communicate with the owner on WhatsApp.
  
  What could be improved: We were 3 couples and booked an apartment with 3 BDR and 3BATH. Two bathrooms were on the main and the third on the upper floor. The bathroom is very small and you have to take squeaky stairs to access it which was not very convenient and private.

  Location location location. That was the best part but still there are lots of other good things about this place. Two big, bright and clean bedrooms plus a big living room and a very cute and equipped kit. And even better than that was such a huge balcony.
