Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Apartments Olé on Calle Albareda? It’s actually in a proper Sevillian building – none of that sterile hotel chain nonsense. The address puts you smack in the old town, which honestly means you’re walking everywhere worth seeing. I mean, the Cathedral’s practically around the corner, and you can wander down to the Guadalquivir in about ten minutes if you take the route through the narrow streets behind Plaza de Armas.

The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. Four stars might sound formal, but it’s more about the thoughtful touches than fancy marble lobbies. The kitchenettes are actually functional – I’m talking real counter space and appliances that work, not those tiny hotel fridges that barely fit a bottle of wine. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re in the thick of things. These old buildings have thick walls, and Calle Albareda isn’t one of those tourist party streets where you hear every conversation from the bars below.

Here’s the thing about staying in Sevilla’s old town – you either embrace the maze of streets or you go crazy trying to navigate them. The Olé location is perfect because once you figure out your way to and from Plaza del Duque (which becomes your landmark whether you want it to or not), everything else falls into place. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too. They’ll tell you which tapas place on Calle Zaragoza is worth the wait and which one’s just trading on location. Parking is… well, it’s old town Sevilla, so forget about parking right outside. But there’s a decent garage about a five-minute walk away, and honestly, you won’t need your car much once you’re settled in. The 8.1 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers on what matters: location, comfort, and that feeling like you’re actually living in Sevilla rather than just passing through in some generic hotel room.

  Location was perfect – in the middle of everything. Washing machine was handy as was the kitchen. Enjoyed the roominess of the space and would happily stay here again

  The location of the flat is absolutely perfect. Although it’s in the middle of the centre, one hardly ever hears noise from the street. The flat is very well equipped and clean. Internet works perfectly well.

  What could be improved: Bed is a bit shaky with a very soft matress (to my taste). Airco could not really heat up the flat on a chilly day. A little courtesy would come handy: a single portion of washing liquid could have saved the day (since everything else was fully equipped in the kitchen).
