Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you step onto that rooftop terrace, you’re suddenly above all the narrow streets of Seville’s old quarter with this incredible view that makes you forget you’re in a 69-square-meter apartment. I mean, the listing mentioned a rooftop, but honestly – the photos don’t do it justice.

The apartment itself sits on Calle Imperial, which is actually perfect if you know the area. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Cathedral (and I timed it, because my friend didn’t believe me), but here’s the thing – it’s tucked away enough that you don’t get the constant tourist foot traffic that makes some streets in the old town feel like a theme park. The building entrance is pretty typical for the neighborhood, nothing fancy, but once you climb to the second floor, the space opens up nicely. The apartment feels genuinely modern inside, which is sort of refreshing after spending days wandering through centuries-old buildings. Everything works properly – the AC actually cools the place down, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the kitchen has real counter space where you can actually prep food if you grab ingredients from the little market around the corner.

But honestly, you’ll probably spend most of your time on that rooftop. I found myself up there every morning with coffee, and again around sunset with whatever bottle of wine I’d picked up that day. The view stretches over the terracotta roofs, and you can see the Giralda tower without having to crane your neck or fight through crowds. It’s one of those spots where you can actually hear the city – church bells, conversations drifting up from the streets, the occasional flamenco guitar from someone’s balcony – without feeling overwhelmed by it. There’s enough space up there for a small table and chairs, plus room to just sprawl out and read if that’s your thing. I should mention, parking in this part of town is basically impossible, but that’s true anywhere in the old quarter. We ended up using the public lot near Plaza de la Encarnación, which is maybe a seven-minute walk. The host was pretty responsive when we had questions, and check-in was straightforward – none of that running around the city to pick up keys from some random office. The whole experience just felt… easy, I guess? Like staying in a friend’s well-organized guest space rather than a typical rental. With a 9.6 rating, I was expecting it to be good, but sometimes those numbers are inflated. This time, they actually make sense.

    Laureen is amazing host: communication before our arrival, management of transport from /to airport, tipcs about lockers, falemnco and many other. The flat i slocated 15 min walk from monuments, Setas, close to supermarkets. Calm area of Sevilla which helped us spend one week fully immersed in Andalousian climat.

    What could be improved: We had to wait over 2 hours in 93 degree heat to get checked in. it was way past the check in time. she was not apologetic and tried to blame it on us. wasted a half of day because of it. the key would barely open the doors. had to jiggle it to try and get it open.

    The location is good, walking distance to all the main sights.
    The rooftop is amazing- with a nice view and places to sit – great to relax after a day of sightseeing.
    The flat is new and clean, kitchen well equipped.
    The flat is located on the second floor with no elevator – keep that in mind when travelling with kids/elderly.

    What could be improved: The check in process is an absolute pain – I was being asked about the check in time 3 weeks before my arrival – and it’s not something I could have provided with such a notice. I was being asked about it multiple times – which was adding to the stress of my group 🙂 You actually have to wait for a person to arrive and open the apartment for you – which they have many – we arrived in Sevilla at 4 30 pm, but couldn’t check in until 6 or so (the available “slot” was at 5 30, but the owner was late).
    Invest in the self check in, or get more staff to deal with the apartments you rent – as a guest I would really expect to be able to check in at the time convenient for me, not for the host.
    The internet connection is not great.
