You know how sometimes you find a place that just gets it right? That’s exactly what happened when I stumbled across the Arjona Riverside Central Deluxe – though honestly, that mouthful of a name doesn’t do it justice. It’s tucked right on Calle Marqués del Duero in Seville’s old town, and I mean *right* in the thick of things without being overwhelmed by tourist chaos.

The first thing that hits you is the location – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral, but here’s the thing locals know: you’re also perfectly positioned to duck into those narrow side streets where the real Seville happens. I spent my mornings grabbing coffee at the little place around the corner (the one with the blue tiles that’s always packed with Spanish grandmothers – you’ll know it when you see it), then wandering over to Plaza del Salvador before the tour groups descended. The hotel sits in this sweet spot where you can hear the city humming, but it’s not like you’re trying to sleep next to a flamenco show every night.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that actually matters. The rooms have this modern comfort thing down without trying too hard to be trendy – good water pressure, air conditioning that works (crucial in Seville summers, trust me), and windows that actually block out street noise when you want them to. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood; when I asked about dinner recommendations, the front desk guy didn’t just hand me a tourist pamphlet – he drew me a little map to his favorite tapas spot two blocks away where they do this incredible montadito with jamón that I’m still thinking about.

I’ll be honest, parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of town, but that’s true anywhere in Seville’s historic center. The trade-off is worth it though – you can walk to the Alcázar in ten minutes, the river’s right there when you want to escape the afternoon heat, and you’re surrounded by those gorgeous narrow streets with the orange trees and wrought-iron balconies that make you feel like you’re living in a postcard. Plus, and this might sound random, but the check-in process was refreshingly smooth – no standing around for twenty minutes while they figure out their computer system.

The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but it nails the fundamentals while putting you right in the heart of everything that makes this city special. Whether you’re the type who wants to be first in line at the Cathedral or you’d rather spend your morning getting lost in the Santa Cruz neighborhood (which, by the way, starts basically at their doorstep), this place works. It’s the kind of hotel where you end up spending less time in your room because there’s so much to explore right outside, but when you do come back, you’re genuinely happy to be there.

  It was a modern clean apartment, plenty of space for 5 of us. The parking was included which was handy. Located about 15-20mins walk to the main attractions.

  Very central location, comfortable beds, clean,
  well equipped for a short city stay. Good choice of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Underground car park. Sevilla bike tour across the road was an excellent way to see the main sights of the city.

  My friend and I spent a wonderful three days in this accommodation. The location is phenomenal, just 3 minutes walk from the main bus station and 10 minutes walk to the center. The building is quiet and there is no night noise. The apartment is nicely decorated and spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen. The host is pleasant to communicate with and available for questions. I recommend!

  Very clean, cleaning products were all there too use and the garage was just around the corner, so, excellent for us with a car.

  The apartment location was excellent, close to all sight and the hosts were very helpful and understandingly when we had delays with the hire car. Facilities in the apartment are great and would highly recommend a stay, wish we had more time.
