Hotel Description

You know that feeling when you stumble onto a street that feels authentically Sevillian, not the touristy version but the real deal? That’s exactly what happened when I found Avanti Jazmin tucked away on Calle Feria in the old town. I mean, the address literally translates to “Sevilla in its pure state,” which honestly sounds like marketing fluff until you actually stay there – then it makes perfect sense.

Calle Feria itself is this wonderful contradiction. During the day, it’s got this lived-in neighborhood vibe with locals doing their shopping and kids playing in the narrow street, but come evening (especially Thursday through Saturday), it transforms into one of Seville’s best-kept nightlife secrets. The hotel sits right in the middle of all this, but here’s the thing – somehow the rooms stay quiet. I was worried about noise when I first saw the location, but they’ve clearly thought about soundproofing because I slept like a baby even on weekend nights. The building has that traditional Andalusian architecture you see all over the old quarter, but inside it feels fresh and thoughtfully designed rather than trying too hard to be boutique-y.

What really struck me was how the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about dinner recommendations, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic list – he asked what I was in the mood for and then gave me specific dishes to order at places within walking distance. He steered me toward this tiny tapas spot three blocks away where I had the best salmorejo of my trip, and later mentioned that if I wanted to avoid crowds at the Cathedral, I should go right when it opens at 11 AM on weekdays. That kind of local knowledge makes such a difference, you know? The rooms themselves are comfortable without being fancy – good beds, solid WiFi, and bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in these old Seville buildings). There’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the basics really right instead of loading you up with amenities you’ll never use.

Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk from the Cathedral and Alcázar, but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore the grittier, more authentic parts of the old town that a lot of tourists miss. The Macarena neighborhood is right there, and if you’re into antiquing or vintage shopping, the Thursday morning market on Calle Feria is fantastic – I picked up some beautiful ceramics for way less than you’d pay near the major sites. One small heads up though: this area isn’t super well-connected to the airport by public transport, so factor in a taxi or Uber if you’re arriving with luggage. But honestly, once you’re settled in, everything you want to see is walkable, and you’ll find yourself coming back to Calle Feria in the evenings just because it has this magnetic pull. That 9.6 rating isn’t an accident – this place just gets it right.

Great value for money. Spotlessly clean. Lovely fixtures and fittings in a well thought out apartment close to lots of bars and restaurants. The washing machine was very handy as we had travelled from having a few days in Cadiz before Seville. Excellent air conditioning which was very simple to operate. Powerful shower. Very quiet at all times of the day or night. Seville is a great city to visit. This is a great spot to explore it from

Very beautiful apartment, perfect location, quite room. The rooftop terrace was our favourite place.

  • Kasia from Poland – 4 May 2025 (10/10)

The Avanti Jazmin flat is fully equipped with utensils, nice towels, comfortable bed and pillows,, and even a washing machine and liquid to do your laundry if you need it. You can also utilise the upper floor (access through a narrow internal metal staircase) as a little working area, it has another toilet and access to the rooftop, with chairs and a table.

Very well located, straight walk to the centre. Very nice cafe Feria and also a local vegetable market with tapas places behind the corner.

The flat is facing the internal yard of the building and is generally quiet. Our sleep was once interrupted at night by some tourists trying to access the opposite flat and also knocked on our door.

We were in Seville during the blackout that impacted the whole Spain and Portugal. We were afraid that we would stay locked out on the street, because the entrance door had an electric lock. The crew was proactive in this crisis and they opened the door, so that we could access the building and the flat. Thanks for that!
I also appreciate they prepared the flat 30 minutes before check-in time so that we could enter earlier.

    Overall, great stay

What could be improved: I would appreciate it if the crew communicated in English in the Booking app. Not everyone knows Spanish and translating every single message is cumbersome.

That I was offered to leave my luggage in the electric storage and had to spend around 40euros for 3 suitcases for 3 hours.

  • Renee from United States – 11 February 2025 (10/10)

I had a conference across the river at Barcelo Renacimiento hotel. The walk to and from the conference was very nice and I enjoyed staying in a location with more to offer. It seemed that where we stayed had great access to local restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and a very nice neighborhood. We could walk to many sites in under 30 minutes and many restaurants within 5-10 minutes. I also appreciated having a lift in the building. We only used the terrace once because the weather wasn't warm enough, but that is a nice additional area.

What could be improved: The bed is a little unusual without much room to get in and out, but it was comfortable. The remote for the heat and cooling needs to be replaced, the display was not working properly. The drains in the shower and bathroom sink need to be improved.

Excellent contact with the owner from the very beginning of the stay until the end. Cleanliness at the highest level. Perfect location, close to everything.

  • Willy from France – 17 December 2024 (10/10)

We had a wonderful experience during our stay in Seville. The apartment is in a very good location, close to everything you need—sights, shops, and restaurants are all within easy reach.

The host was very attentive and maintained reactive communication throughout our stay, making everything smooth and easy.

The apartment itself was perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seville!

  • Alysha from Australia – 24 November 2024 (9/10)

Lovely apartment with great amenities and a really nice outdoor space. Well located and secure. Clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: The TV remote did not work.

  • Laura from Romania – 26 October 2024 (10/10)

We loved the place, it's small but cozy, and very well equiped with everything anyone might need. The rooftop terrace is great for breakfast or an evening cup, but also for enjoing the sun. It' s located quite close to the main atractions of the city, within walking distance.

  • Ka from Hong Kong – 29 May 2024 (10/10)

The host left us sweet surprise for spending our honeymoon here. Open kitchen has everything we need, including basic seasoning. They have cleaning amenities inside the house, such as garbage bags, so that we can clear the garbage bin as we want. The host is very responsive and made some good recommendations on restaurant.
