Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Avanti La Campana, con un balcón que te enamorará del ambiente de Sevilla,” I thought someone got a little carried away with the romance marketing. But you know what? After staying there, I actually get it. That balcón really does make you fall for Seville’s vibe.

The place sits right on Calle Martín Villa, which is one of those narrow Old Town streets where you can practically touch the building across from you if you lean out far enough. It’s tucked away enough that you won’t have crowds of tourists constantly walking by (unlike some of the spots closer to the cathedral), but you’re still absolutely in the heart of everything. I mean, you can walk to the Alcázar in maybe eight minutes, and there’s this little tapas place called El Rinconcillo just around the corner that’s been serving jamón since like 1670 – no joke, it’s the oldest bar in Seville and locals still actually go there.

What really got me was how the place manages to feel authentically Sevillian without trying too hard. The building itself is classic – you know, those thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside, traditional tiles, the works. But it’s the details that matter. The balcony (and yes, there really is something special about it) looks out over the kind of street scene you imagine when you think of southern Spain – people chatting below, the occasional horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping past, that golden light hitting the buildings in the late afternoon. I spent way too much time out there with morning coffee, honestly.

The 4-star rating feels right – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy or over-designed. What impressed me most was how quiet it stays at night, which isn’t always guaranteed in the Old Town. You get the atmosphere during the day but can actually sleep when you want to. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where small things are done really well. Check-in was smooth, they knew the neighborhood inside and out (gave me directions to a parking garage I never would have found), and the whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess?

If you’re the type who wants to be right in historic Seville but doesn’t want to sacrifice comfort or deal with tourist chaos, this spot hits that sweet spot perfectly. Just don’t expect a huge modern hotel – this is more intimate, more connected to the actual city around it. And seriously, spend some time on that balcony. I was skeptical about the whole “fall in love with Seville’s atmosphere” promise, but sitting there around sunset with the sounds of the neighborhood settling in for evening – well, they weren’t exactly wrong about that part.

  Location was fabulous. Right in the centre of the town. Restaurants and coffee shops beside it as well as other shops . A lovely walk to the sights. Bedrooms were large and a very spacious , clean, airy, light apartment. Owner was very good with communication and very helpful. Easy to book and a great price. Everything you could need was in the apartment including toiletries.

  Loved this apartment. The location was fantastic and the apartment was gorgeous. There was a small balcony off of the living room – perfect for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening before heading out. We also went to the communal rooftop on our first evening – loved the views from there.
  The apartment itself was gorgeously decorated, spotlessly clean, very spacious and had everything we needed. Air conditioning in every room was excellent. The keys were in a lockbox at the door itself and the instructions on how to get there were really simple. Communication was easy and attentive – used whatsapp.
  I loved that the host provided a QR code with some ideas of restaurants/bars etc. The little touches like this, and providing coffee pods etc were really appreciated.
  I would highly recommend this apartment and the city. It was just down the street from Setas de Sevilla, and surrounded by excellent tapas bars and restaurants. There was a starbucks next door – which I used only to purchase my 'been there' mug, but if you love starbucks, it's right there. Personally, I preferred walking down one of the side streets to a local cafe for better coffee and pastries. Churros with chocolate are also a must!!
  Seville itself is beautiful. The people were friendly, the architecture, especially the Royal Alcazar of Seville. A very walkable city – felt safe the whole time.
