Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Sevilla, and Avanti La Judería hits different – in the best way possible. The name literally translates to “live Sevilla with all five senses,” which honestly sounds like marketing fluff until you actually get there. It’s tucked into this narrow street called Calle Verde in the heart of the old Jewish quarter, and I mean really tucked in. You’ll walk past it twice before you spot the entrance (escalera 2, first floor right – thank god they put that in the address because these old buildings can be maze-like).
The thing about staying in the Judería is that you’re basically living inside a postcard, but here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you: most of these converted apartments feel cramped or oddly laid out because they’re working with centuries-old bones. Not this place. Someone actually thought about how modern humans want to live and move around a space. The apartment – because that’s really what it is, a beautifully appointed apartment that happens to rent by the night – has this flow to it that just works. You know what I mean? You’re not constantly bumping into furniture or wondering where to put your suitcase.
What really gets me is the attention to detail. They’ve got these little touches that show someone who actually understands Sevilla designed this space. The windows are positioned to catch the morning light but avoid the brutal afternoon sun (crucial during summer months, trust me). The sound insulation is surprisingly good too – important when you’re literally steps away from the Cathedral and all the tourist foot traffic that comes with it. I mean, you’ll still hear the church bells, but that’s part of the charm, right?
The location is absolutely killer if you want to feel like you’re living in Sevilla rather than just visiting it. Plaza de Doña Elvira is maybe a two-minute walk, and that’s where you’ll find some of the best people-watching in the city, especially in the evenings when the light hits those orange trees just right. The Real Alcázar is so close you could literally roll out of bed and be in line – which, by the way, book ahead because that line gets insane after 10 AM.
Here’s the practical stuff: there’s no parking right at the building (it’s a pedestrian area), but there’s a decent public garage about five minutes away. Check-in was smooth, though you’ll coordinate with someone remotely rather than having a traditional front desk situation. The Wi-Fi actually works well, which isn’t always a given in these thick-walled historic buildings.
Honestly, the 9-star rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting a genuinely comfortable, thoughtfully designed space in one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Spain. It’s not cheap, but then again, neither is anything else in the Judería that’s worth your time. If you’re the type who wants to wake up to the sound of horse carriages on cobblestones and be able to walk to every major sight in the city, this spot delivers without making you feel like you’re roughing it in some poorly converted medieval closet.

Vahram from Armenia – 23 February 2025 (9/10)
great helpful hosts, great location, the apartment has almost anything you would need for a short stay in decent conditions
What could be improved: The neighborhood is a bit noisy, and the AC in the living room didn't work. Other than that, it's great.Miriam from Canada – 30 December 2024 (8/10)
This place is cozy with everything you need. It is centrally located in the old city of Seville, and nearby/walking distance to the main tourist sights.
What could be improved: This place doesn't have a concierge on site and doesn't have luggage storage. You can store your luggage around the corner but it costs about 5 euro per bag.Dimitrova_za from Bulgaria – 15 November 2024 (8/10)
Perfect location! You feel the authentic atmosphere of Sevilla. Cozy, clean apartment! ✨️
Stephen from Malta – 2 May 2024 (9/10)
Very centrally located. You can walk to all major attractions of Seville. All we needed was in the property. Nice comfortable beds. Host kept in touch at all times. Very clean. Excellent stay
Vidya from Singapore – 8 April 2024 (9/10)
Location, everything was well provided, right down to a sewing kit! A very comfortable apartment for 4. Kitchen very well equipped.
What could be improved: The courtyard lights didn’t come on at night, not sure if there were sensors or if we missed the switch altogether. We just used our phone flashlight.Gil from Germany – 25 March 2024 (8/10)
– easy and effective communication
– this is a complete flat. It has a great size and appliances. A family of 3/4 person could move in immediately and live there.
– the location is great. It is close to the historical center.
– very clean
What could be improved: – the mattress were not very comfortable to my taste. But i guess that is a very personal thing.
– the flat is a bit noisy as the walls can not seem to do a good job isolating the sound from the noisy neighbors during the morning.Titas from Lithuania – 6 February 2024 (8/10)
Great location, spacious apartment with two rooms and a living room, everything you could need, relatively low price.
What could be improved: Everything was great.Stan from United States – 30 April 2023 (6/10)
The location was great and the owner’s father came over promptly to reprogram the AC control. We really appreciated him doing this. Had a washer and detergent. Basic kitchen items, but no coffeemaker.
What could be improved: Sofa was dirty, walls were paper thin. Little natural light.Oleg from Israel – 30 May 2025 (8/10)
Небольшая хорошо оборудованная квартира в старом городе, все достопримечательности в пешей доступности. На кухне есть все необходимое для кратковременного проживания, включая кофе-машину.
