Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Azahar? The moment I walked up to Calle Rodrigo de Triana 101, I realized I was in one of those perfect Seville spots that somehow manages to feel completely local while still being ridiculously convenient. I mean, you’re right in Triana – the neighborhood where flamenco actually lives and breathes – but you can still walk to the cathedral in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling touristy.
The hotel itself has this understated elegance that honestly surprised me. It’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works. The staff actually knows the neighborhood (ask them about the ceramics workshops tucked away on side streets), and they’ll steer you toward the tapas places where you’ll hear more Spanish than English. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – nothing revolutionary, but you can tell someone who understands travel put them together. Good lighting for reading, outlets where you need them, and the kind of bathroom where you don’t have to play Tetris with your toiletries. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re surrounded by the kind of streets where people actually live and work, not just pose for photos.
Here’s the thing about staying in Triana that guidebooks don’t always capture – you’re on the “right” side of the river for morning runs along the water, you can grab fresh bread from places that have been family-owned for decades, and honestly, you’ll stumble onto the best flamenco performances because they’re happening in venues locals actually attend. From Azahar, the Puente de Isabel II is literally around the corner (locals still call it Puente de Triana, by the way), and crossing it at sunset never gets old. The market is close enough that you’ll hear it coming to life in the mornings – not loud enough to wake you, but just enough to remind you that you’re somewhere real. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but the hotel staff knows the tricks, and there’s actually decent public transport if you’re planning day trips. I stayed here during shoulder season and it felt perfectly busy without being overwhelming, though I imagine summer gets pretty intense – but that’s Seville for you.

It’s location and that it is a very comfortable apartment
What could be improved: I suggest buying new plates and cups that match, there where no small plates for example.Bryan from United States – 19 July 2024 (10/10)
Absolutely stellar location near the riverfront, this place had all the amenities you could need and then some for exploring Seville. The neighborhood is equal parts sedate — you won’t have to deal with traffic noise — and bustling, with tons of restaurants, stores, sights and more nearby. Major sites in Seville proper are a reasonable walk away, and you can easily hop a cab or public transportation if needed.
As for the place itself, it’s more than roomy enough for a family of four, and the kitchen has everything you could need if you want to grab some meals at home.
As a bonus, if you’re coming in by car, street parking is doable (bearing in mind that this is a city, and you should be OK parking a few blocks away and walking in).
What could be improved: You might have a minor language barrier, as most info is provided in Spanish — but a basic level of reading comprehension (or a smartphone that can translate text) will cover you easily. The host definitely covers all the bases!Gabriel from Netherlands – 30 May 2024 (9/10)
It was a very nice apartment. It was big for three people. Very clean. There was a kitchen but we didn't use it though. Close to the city centre.
What could be improved: It would have been nice if there was detergent/softener to wash our clothes.Judi from New Zealand – 27 May 2024 (10/10)
The host was excellent. Very enthusiastic and passionate about his city. In constant contact with all we needed to know. The apartment was super spacious and brilliantly located.
Kateryna from Ukraine – 5 February 2024 (10/10)
Apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Really nice neighbour (triana), quiet street.
We had all the appliances we needed, especially useful was 2 hair dryers (as we are a group of 4 girls with long hair)
A/C in every room, washing machine, coffee machine and electric kettle, warm water and good pressure in the shower
We are extremely satisfied with our stay!
Host did an amazing job and left us full guide to Seville with places to visit, eat and drink!
Self check in and check out was easy and comfortable for us, as we traveled outside of usual hours
Muchas gracias to our host!
Definitely would recommend it!Francesca from Germany – 4 January 2024 (10/10)
