First Impressions

The building sits right in the thick of Seville‘s old town — I mean, you’re literally steps from the cathedral and all the action. It’s one of those narrow streets where you can almost touch the buildings on both sides, which honestly adds to the charm. The entrance might be easy to miss if you’re not paying attention, but that’s part of what makes it feel like a local secret.

Location & Neighborhood

This spot is absolutely unbeatable for exploring Seville on foot. You’re basically in the Santa Cruz quarter, where every corner reveals another postcard-worthy scene. The Giralda tower is so close you’ll probably hear the bells throughout the day, and the cathedral is just a two-minute stroll away. What I really love is that you’re surrounded by tapas bars and flamenco venues, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise. Couples seem to get this — they consistently rate the location nearly perfect, and I can see why.

The Accommodation

The apartments here feel authentically Sevillian without trying too hard. You’ll find traditional touches like exposed beams and tile work, but everything’s been updated where it counts. The “Sweet” part of the name makes sense once you see the thoughtful details — fresh flowers, quality linens, that sort of thing. Each unit has its own character, and honestly, the balconies (hence “Balcón”) give you those rooftop views of the old city that make you want to linger with your morning coffee. The kitchenettes are actually functional too, which is great if you want to grab ingredients from the nearby market.

Daily Life Here

Mornings are my favorite time at this place. You can step out and have the historic streets mostly to yourself before the tour groups arrive. There’s a little café around the corner where locals grab their cortados, and the staff at Balcón Giralda Center & Sweet will point you toward these kinds of spots. Evenings are equally magical — you’re perfectly positioned for the paseo culture, where everyone comes out to stroll and socialize. The narrow streets stay cooler too, which you’ll appreciate during Seville’s intense summers.

  VERY GOOD LOCATION. Close to Cathedral. You hear the bells. 5 minutes to Real Alkazar, or several Flamenco shows. Fantastic street view and lots of street action. Comfortable and clean too. Very comfortable for a couple can be a bit noisy at times… rubbish collection but with double glazing it's perfect to cut off the noise from bars downstairs. Well appointed. Washing machine capsules.
  
  What could be improved: Only 1 mirror and that in bathroom with very noisy extractor fan. Also shower sometimes smells. Could not find drying rack. Air con in bedroom does nor work but louge aircon was sufficient even in heatwave…. but the slept with bedroom door open which may be issue if sharing. No coffee Mocka pot or filter and no pods for coffee maker

  The location is great. The apartment is fully equipped with kitchen and washing machine. The check in/out is straight forward.
  
  What could be improved: Getting a taxi/uber to the location can be a challenge, since the street is not open to vehicles most of the time.
  While the bedroom is quiet with the door closed, the living room (sofa bed is placed) can be noisy at night.

  The apartment is clean and spacious, situated in the old town on a vibrant street just metres from Sevilla cathedral. The noise from the restaurants below could not be heard in the bedroom at the rear of the apartment. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The stunning Alcázar was only 3 minute walk away. Great communication from the property manager Lorenzo.
  
  What could be improved: Only minor negatives: the water pressure in the shower was quite low but it was adequate. The only light in the bedroom was exceptionally bright, it would have been nice to have a smaller bedside lamp or a dimmer switch.
