Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Bamberg Giralda Skyview by Valcambre,” I thought it sounded like someone threw a bunch of fancy words at a wall. But you know what? Sometimes the marketing department actually gets it right, because this place really does have those killer views of the Giralda tower that’ll make your Instagram followers hate you (in the best way).

The location is what hooked me initially – right there on Calle Bamberg in the heart of the old town, which means you’re literally a five-minute stumble from the Cathedral and maybe three from those tiny tapas bars that don’t even have signs. I mean, you can hear the cathedral bells from some rooms, and honestly, it’s either charming or annoying depending on how much you drank the night before. The building itself has that restored Sevillian feel without being too precious about it – they’ve kept the bone-white walls and terracotta details but added modern touches that actually work. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for a boutique place; no waiting around while they “find your reservation” like at some of these smaller hotels.

What really sets this apart is how they’ve handled the whole skyview thing. The rooftop terrace – and I’m not talking about some cramped afterthought with plastic chairs – actually delivers on those panoramic promises. Best time is late afternoon when the light hits the Giralda just right, though fair warning: it gets packed during sunset, especially in spring and fall. The rooms themselves feel more spacious than you’d expect in this part of town, where most historic buildings have been chopped up into shoebox-sized spaces. Mine had these massive windows that opened onto a little Juliet balcony, and you could see slices of cathedral spire between the neighboring buildings. The AC actually works (crucial in Seville summers), and the beds are proper firm – not those mushy European mattresses that leave you feeling like you slept in quicksand. Parking is the usual Seville nightmare, but they’ve got a deal with a garage about two blocks away, which honestly isn’t bad considering where you are. You’ll hear some street noise because, well, it’s the old town and there’s always someone wandering home from the bars, but it’s not the kind of thing that keeps you up unless you’re a seriously light sleeper. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out – they sent me to this tiny ceramics shop tucked away near Plaza del Salvador that I never would’ve found otherwise. That 8.7 rating makes sense; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails what it’s going for: a genuinely local experience with enough comfort that you don’t feel like you’re roughing it.

  Location is absolutely perfect. The apartment is spotlessly clean. Quiet place with an amazing view of the Cathedral at night. Short walk to most main attractions and restaurants. Rosa was awesome, meeting us at the car parking place and taking us to the apartment, then showing us around it.

  Absolutely fabulous, can see why the other reviews are so positive. Spotlessly clean, everything very well thought out. Double USB charging ports in bedroom were brilliant as we forgot to bring adapters for our 3-pin plugs so we were able to charge phones which were essential for maps to navigate.
  The rooftop areas were amazing, sun loungers even allowed us to relax and catch some sun even in late February.
  Host Maria was lovely and the Valcambre people were extremely helpful throughout our stay.

  Everything was perfect!
  Location, comfort, terrace, service and the lovely host; I would choose this accommodation again on my next visit to Sevilla.
  
  What could be improved: This is not a negative point, but something to be aware of: the parking is a huge plus, but when you’re alone it is quite challenging to park in or out; the door closes within 19 seconds (yes I timed it haha) and the parking spot is quite small.

  Communication with the agency was very easy. They adapted to our late change of arrival time without any problem and were always very friendly and efficient. The apartment was beautifully presented and clean. We particularly liked the outdoor roof terraces with beautiful views. The location was perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral and many bars, restaurants and all the shops and services you would need. The offer of the free, secure parking was a real bonus and much appreciated. Highly recommended.

  The location was great – central, walking distance to everything that we wanted to see, plenty of restaurants nearby. The apartment was very clean, we had everything we needed. The roof terraces are fabulous. We could hear the noise of shops closing and garbage collection truck, but that was short and did not bother us.

  Location and staff communication .central location, TV even has the Netflix installed. Perfect place for visit Seville.

  Amazingly located lovely and cosy apartment with all you would need for short or even a longer stay. Lovely interior design. Kitchenette well equipped, new laundry machine, two comfortable lounge areas with comfy sofas. The bedroom is perfect for a good rest with its comfortable bed and curtains shutting the light. We stayed in December and there was no problem with keeping the flat nice and warm. Two lovely small private terraces, one great to have breakfast and coffee, second to enjoy the sun and the city's skyline, The staff was very friendly, kind and proactive, gave us many recommendations which were not so touristically obvious. Big yes for a free parking lot in the nearby. Hopefully we will come back in the future.
