Hotel Description
So I stumbled across BYPILLOW Residence Abril on Sales y Ferré street, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the name – sounds like a tech startup, right? But here’s the thing about this little corner of Sevilla’s old town: it’s tucked away just enough that you feel like you’ve discovered something, but you’re still a proper five-minute walk from the cathedral. The building itself has that traditional Andalusian thing going on, though they’ve clearly put some serious work into modernizing the interiors without losing the character.
What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in the thick of things. I mean, you’re practically neighbors with some of the city’s best tapas spots (there’s this tiny place around the corner that doesn’t even have a proper sign, just locals queuing up), but somehow the street noise doesn’t really penetrate. The staff actually know the neighborhood – not just the tourist highlights, but where to grab decent coffee at 7am or which farmacia stays open late. The rooms feel more like temporary apartments than hotel boxes, which makes sense given the “residence” part of the name. Everything’s clean and thoughtfully designed, though I’ll be honest, the shower pressure could be stronger. But then again, that’s pretty standard for historic buildings in this part of town.
You know what surprised me most? How many Spanish families were staying there alongside the international crowd. That’s usually a good sign – means it’s not just another tourist trap with inflated prices. The whole area comes alive differently depending on when you’re there. Early morning, it’s all locals heading to work and older folks doing their shopping. Late afternoon, the narrow streets fill up with that golden light that makes every Instagram photo look professional. And evenings… well, let’s just say you’ll hear plenty of laughter spilling out from the bars until pretty late, but in a charming way, not a keep-you-awake way. The location really is something special – you’re walking distance from the Alcázar, the Jewish quarter, and all those winding streets that make Sevilla feel like a living history book. But you’re also close enough to the river that you can escape the tourist density when you need to breathe. If you’re the type who likes to wander and discover rather than just tick boxes off a list, this spot gives you the perfect base for both.

What could be improved: To have the towels changed and the room done at least one time out of four nights.Jose from Spain – 4 June 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was immaculate, spotless, and well-decorated. The location is very convenient in the city centre, near everything. A bottle of water and biscuits awaited my arrival, which I loved!

You can walk to pretty much anywhere in about 10/15min, great location. Lots of bars and tapas places just around the corner, and the street is quiet at night. Good night sleep, comfortable bed and pillows.
Great size and very clean apartment Definitely recommend 👌🏻
What could be improved: The only thing I can think of is that the air con is set to min tem of 22°. Not a major issue in May, but I have a feeling July/August might be a different story.Mary from United States – 26 April 2025 (8/10)
Good location, clean and had everything we needed.
What could be improved: Shower didn’t drain properly. Water pooled at the back by the door instead of down the drain.Shannon from United Kingdom – 14 March 2025 (9/10)
Location is perfect for exploring the city, very close to popular tourist areas and bars/restaurants. Staff at check in were helpful and easily contacted for any questions.
