Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked up to the Calatrava Suite Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the entrance is tucked into this narrow cobblestone street that feels like it hasn’t changed since the Reconquista. But once you’re inside, it’s actually a really clever setup. The building itself has that classic Sevillian bone structure (you know, thick walls that keep things blissfully cool even when it’s pushing 40 degrees outside), but they’ve updated everything that matters without going overboard with the renovation.
The location is what really gets me excited about this place, though. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of the old town – like, genuinely old, not tourist-brochure old. Calle Calatrava runs between the cathedral area and the Santa Cruz neighborhood, so you can walk to the big sights in about five minutes, but you’re also surrounded by actual neighborhood life. There’s this tiny bar around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee, and the sound of church bells becomes this oddly comforting soundtrack rather than tourist noise. The apartment setup works brilliantly if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights – having a proper kitchen means you can hit the Mercado del Arenal and actually cook with all those gorgeous tomatoes and jamón instead of eating every meal out (which, let’s be honest, gets expensive fast in the touristy areas).
What I really appreciate is that they’ve managed to keep the authentic feel without sacrificing comfort. The air conditioning actually works – and trust me, that’s not a given in these old buildings. The Wi-Fi is solid, the water pressure is decent, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise because, well, you’re in the middle of a living city, but it dies down pretty early in the evening. Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about driving here. But the nearest metro stop is close enough, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to leave the neighborhood anyway. The 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails what most people actually want: a comfortable base in an incredible location where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Sevilla, not just visiting it.

Vinujan from United Kingdom – 17 April 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was in a very good condition, clean and located very close to all amenities.
What could be improved: The only thing that I was not too keen about was that it was on the second floor with no lift so we had to climb up two flights of stairs each time going into the property.Jake from United Kingdom – 1 January 2025 (9/10)
Nice central apartment, in a busy area! Plenty to do and lots of places to eat/drink!

What could be improved: Noise at night. TV didn't work. The toilet smelled of sewage.Victoria from United Kingdom – 5 April 2024 (8/10)

Ramak from United States – 23 June 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: The bathrooms were clean but there's been a bad smell of sewage that came from both bathrooms but from the smaller bathroom so harshly. We barely opened the door to tat bathroom. The apartment did not come with a dryer that would have been nice.
Mhairi from United Kingdom – 6 February 2024 (7/10)
Very good deal on apartment in February. Spacious and comfortable , well located with shops restaurants nearby, on a bus route just below apartment to centre and nearby bus stop to travel down riverside to bus station in 5 minutes.
What could be improved: Nothing I. ParticularFiras961 from France – 1 July 2023 (8/10)
It's a big apartment, we had plenty of space
It's 1 min walk from the Alameda district and 10 min walk from the old districts where all the shops are.
Very clean.
What could be improved: It's very hot in the summer, and there were only 2 air conditioners, one in the living room and another in one of the bedrooms; so the other two bedrooms were very hot.
The parking nearby was extremely expensive compared to other spanish cities!!! (36€ for a day)
