You know what struck me first about Casa Aguilas? The way you stumble upon it on this narrow cobblestone street in Seville’s old quarter – honestly, I almost walked right past it because the entrance is so understated. But that’s actually part of its charm. This isn’t one of those flashy hotels trying to scream “look at me” from every corner. Instead, it’s tucked into Calle Águilas Bajo like it’s been part of the neighborhood forever, which, well, it sort of has been.

The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that hits you – I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Cathedral and the Alcázar, but somehow the street noise just melts away. The building itself has that classic Andalusian thing going on with the central courtyard (they call it a patio here), and you’ll find yourself gravitating toward it throughout your stay. I spent way too many evenings there with a glass of wine, just watching how the light changed on those white walls. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star place – nothing revolutionary, but thoughtfully done with local touches that don’t feel forced. The bathrooms are actually generous by European standards, and the beds… well, let’s just say I had zero trouble sleeping off those late Sevillian dinners.

Here’s the thing about the location though – and this is something you only really get once you’ve walked around a bit – you’re positioned perfectly for both the tourist stuff and the real Seville. Sure, you can hit all the major sites without breaking a sweat, but you’re also close enough to places like Plaza de la Alfalfa where locals actually hang out. The hotel staff seems to get this too; they’re not just pointing you toward the obvious attractions but actually giving you the kind of tips that make you feel like you’re in on something. Parking can be a nightmare in this part of town (fair warning), but they’ve got arrangements with a nearby garage that’ll save you from circling the old quarter for an hour. The breakfast is honestly better than it needs to be – proper jamón ibérico, fresh tomatoes for the pan con tomate, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine. I’d say Casa Aguilas hits that sweet spot where you get the authentic Seville experience without sacrificing comfort, and at this price point in this location, that’s pretty hard to find.

  The location of the apt is excellent. It is in the old town and close to everything. Also the kitchen was comfortable and easy to use. The owner was very nice.
  
  What could be improved: The wi-fi didn't work so we got the wi-fi of the owner who lived upstairs. However, because it was far the signal was weak and it got disconnected.

  Very comfortable apartment in an excellent location. Walking distance to a lot of sites.
  
  What could be improved: The street is very narrow and quite busy with cars during the day. There is little to no sidewalk so good luck getting there walking if you have large luggage. Also fyi the pictures on Google of the building that other reviewers have left are incorrect. It is in fact #19, not #16. The shower is very shallow and it’s next to impossible to not get water all over the floor in the bathroom. The kitchen could have been stocked with olive oil and salt/pepper – the basics would have been nice! Small complaints but didn’t affect my overall review and enjoyment.

  Great location. In city center walking distance from all major tourist locations. Good communication with host. He even allowed us to keep our luggage after check out for a few hours in other room as our flight was in the night All basic amenities present. Nice and clean apartment.

  We loved absolutely everything here: position versus old town, the kind reception of the owners and all the information about town they provides to us, the lovely inner patio full of flowers. And, of course the flat itself: very spacious, furnished and equipped at very good quality, tastefully decorated, everything in good shape, comfy bed and pillows.
